Huge heats at Bethel. Guess Power hasn't brought out his rule book yet!

Rumor has it he's going to meets in two different states this weekend just to make sure they follow rules. I find it ironic that Power would go to someone else's facility and try to enforce rules that nobody cares about. I'm not sure he even hosts Outdoor meets. He tried to ruin national qualifying meets for everyone Indoors and nobody cared. It's pathetic.

I talked to a prominent Ole high school coach last week and he said he'll never send an athlete to St. Olaf while Power continues to tarnish the program's reputation with his stupidity. We can't wait to see what changes the AD will make with the program in the next few years.

Phil left all his training for him to use Given all his success at St. Olaf and Minnesota. I cannot fathom the ego of someone who would not use the training from a Hall of Fame coach. It really makes you wonder how good the Oles should be. No wonder we are seeing such great success from Bocovich and Kelly as postgrads.

The meet is already like 9-8, don't need to make it last longer. They don't have lights on that track either!

Keep your money. Apparently Monson got injured AGAIN! All she did was ride a bike, run a pedestrian couple of miles several days a week, and get on the elliptical to recover from surgery, yet...somehow she managed to get a foot injury! WTF. Somethings not 100% with her body.

You sound surprised. Did you ever see recent photos of her? A bag of bones. Would love to see her bone scan results.
That and more bad training from Ritz. Just a matter of time for the other injury prone On women to miss most of outdoor due to injury.

Power is such a goddamn whiner. He doesn't have to come to the meet. For those sick of him, you can email Dan McKane the MIAC commissioner or Kelly Mahlum his boss. The more data you can compile to provide the AD when she evaluates whether to renew his contract to to hire a track coach to better support the program.

And I'm pretty sure the prior Monson is supposed to be Devin who could beat Power in a race after two racks of Hamms, running blindfolded and backwards.

They haven’t done anything to change the heats. And if anyone should be complaining it’s the Ole 5k women. The number of athletes they’ll lap will be ridiculous with women seeded to run 23 minutes!

But also, in my experience Power is pretty chickenshti when it comes to conflict. I’m going to guess he never even talked to Bethel but instead just complained on Letsrun and to one of his many assistants.

What a great night for MIAC 5K! The Johnnies didn’t need to drive home because they were floating on clouds after such a strong night with three sub 15 men. Mac had some equally exciting racing, Gabe showed he’s starting to work back into form, and the Oles did what the non-haters would expect. Even though the Oles will likely have less sub 15 men than in last years, the conference is on track to have a record number of sub 15 men. And, if I’m a MIAC steepler I’m worried about what the Johnnies will do after hitting PR’s in my off event.

When are we going to stop counting qualifying times for the MIAC championship that are above 4.0? Seems like Power would be fired up about that rule too.

Trust me. If Power had any good jumpers or sprinters he would definitely complain. And it would fail like every other rule he tries to impose.

Trying to figure out why 1000 people competed at Bethel and yet this week we have the Gusties, Johnnie, Tommies, Carls, and even Minnesota State all hosting small meets over a two day time period. Seems like some of these coaches need to get it together.

The Future & Lars are bringing the swag to La Crosse this week. Will we see the first sub 3:50's of the year? Can the Future qualify for Nationals in two events? Is the steeple/1500 double possible?
Now that the Future's brother is also running fast steeples, can we create a nickname for him? Will we see a Cobber 1-2 at the MIAC champs?
