New Mexico wins with their 6th right? 42nd vs. 45th for NC State.
That’s HS I think.
NCAA tie rules:
Ties in team scoring shall be broken by comparing in order the first-place finish of each of the five scoring members of the tied teams. The team with the majority of winning comparisons shall be awarded the higher place” (NCAA 2021-2022 Cross Country and Track and Field Rules, Rule 21, Section 6, Article 3a).Oct 2, 2021
ND 5 points behind BYU and 13 points behind NAU. Remarkable! I had my doubts when it was announced that Sparks was taking over both the men's and the women's teams, but clearly it is working. Or, we'll see in 12 minutes.
At first blush it looks like NAU and BYU were not as good as they looked at OSU
Me too!!! And when Touhy turned straight around to cheer her in..that was just awesome.
Touhy did not look fatigued one bit. Kara Goucher noticed that too. Starliper is going to make a huge difference. NC State just needs to keep everyone healthy.
So happy that Chmiel is not only back, but running strong. She looked great today!

I think in HS, at least CA, the tie is still broken by the #6 runners. Either way is fine, but I prefer the #6 tiebreaker.
Stanford even topped that, gaining 93 spots from 6k to the finish . . . nice negative split strategy for both teams . . . however, maybe both went a little too overboard . . . both teams will have to be nearer the front for NM to beat NC State w/Starliper and for Stanford to get on the podium.

Yes what a comeback after injury.
How did Kemboi look? Mitchell performed well again
its early obviously, but nice to see Thorvaldson near the fron
It was great to see Thorvaldson, Dudek, Covert, and other high school front runners running strong today. I am glad that Touhy is not the only high school stand out to run strong in college. They are still at it, and they were there to give her a run for her money.
Also, thanks for the tip on Runnerspace. I was bummed planning to read the results here, but when I saw on your previous post that you can just do a month subscription I signed up. So glad I did because that race was awesome. Thanks!
