So just to be clear... the mental construct you have created is that you believe Mu is clean and therefore cannot break the WR. But if/when she does break the WR you will then be immediately convinced she is dirty? Got it. It must really suck waking up as you every day.
Exactly this ^^
I definitely think all MAJOR records are dirty, and on top of that, they were world class to begin with. I would find it very very hard to believe that a runner is clean if they break a record in an event that is contested at world championships or Olympics.
But to resolve this, we have to agree on something and go from there.
Do you think any "non elite talent" could dope and set a WR? I am of the mind, that no, drugs will not make you elite, much less a record holder.
Then continue...do you believe elite talented athletes have doped in competition? This of course is obvious, because people have indeed been busted, and some even admitted it.
Therefore, I think it is reasonable to conclude that elite talent + doping = WR. Anyone that tries to suggest that 3:26.00, 7:20, etc are "clean" are just straight out trying to troll people.
And if you believe even one or two records are doped, then you must finally realized all are probably doped.
This is the logic progression I go through. Holds in cycling too, although cycling isn't really about records, outside of number of races won. So I do think there is a small chance that clean riders have won monuments (single day races where big team could in theory help pull someone along with minimal effort), but I do not think a 3 week grand tour can be won clean.
