The pace/HR is unknown to me until I look at it afterwards and I don't really let myself get hung up on daily results.
Just a few observations that I've made on HR that I don't often see mentioned
..
That sounds reasonable. I've noticed that I can lower my HR a few beats by keeping my mind and thoughts calm, and focusing on my breathing. There seems to be many factors affecting your HR.
What I'll probably do is try to follow HADD's first training schedule for Joe, for the first weeks. Running in zone 2 (140-155). I will get the approximate paces for the HR:s involved, and mix the sessions by running only on HR and some times use pace - and then analyze the HR afterwards.
