from afar, i would have thought salazar would have changed from the juvenile years and leanings.

i was working out running repeat 100s, not getting very good results, slow, from LSD.

so i upped the effort to get at least something moral boosting for times.

then i get interrupted by al salazar, who is an athlete at the time, and feels like hayward field is his field and he's going to

instruct everyone how to behave.

sal challenged me to a sprint, in an aggressive way, and with a foul mouth,

as runners are scrawney, al sal slow, i was tempted, very tempted to knock his face into orbit, but i declined emotion and satisfaction, in preference to the possibility of getting banned.

plus i was actually slow at that juncture, like 12 high for running start 100m, and it would have been too stupid to get bead by a plow horse.

so there you go, throwing an anchor to a guy drowning right now.

Being a jerk is not a requirement to be a coach/leader/boss. You can get just as good of results if you are able to actually work with people. There are hundreds and thousands that do just that.

I especially like this claim about a coach with multiple Olympic and world championship gold medals:

Who cares about her dog? she was probably bringing down the rest of the team. It was probably true but the millennials these days think they need grief counseling when a pet dies. They are so sensitive to every thing, anyone says. I think the contract thing is 1000% BS. I think she's either making it up or didn't understand the joke.

When you lump in minor slights or comments with real harm it makes it seem less.

Hence, the PED usage being the relevant part.

Salazar's only issue is that he most likely implemented an extremely convoluted method by which his athletes could use low-level PEDs. Why it is that USADA couldn't find proper evidence of THAT is a mystery to me, given that it's fairly obvious.

The utter nonsense about female athletes being body-shamed and made to feel bad is just that, nonsense. That is literally what Amy's complaint is. Salazar made her feel bad, so she's upset.

I wonder what the women currently in the group think of all this. Hasay, Rowbury, Hassan, KK. From what I can tell, Salazar's relationship with Hasay and Hassan seemed creepily close. But they all probably have non-disclosure agreements with Nike and we will not hear anything from them.
