Seriously I don't know how you guys think Shalane Flanagan is even remotely close to good looking, she is hideous. I've saw her in person and definitely wasn't impressed. She looks like a damn ghost.

Judging someone by their online journal huh? Makes tons of sense since I'm sure you gain extreme insight into exactly the kind of person she is. Ever met her? One of my best friends (a girl) met her and said she was one of the sweetest people she had ever met. Knowing this girl as well as I do, I highly doubt she'd call someone who sucks "one of the sweetest girls" she's ever met. If you think she sucks as a person don't read her journal.

I would have to say no. The "pre-Madonna" period ended sometime in the early 1980's with the release of the hit single "Material Girl." However, the World Wide Web - and hence Web journals - did not exist until at least a decade later.
