You left out how he finished in the top half of the field and was definitely more deserving of the last few entrants. Oh, and the USATF rules allow them to choose who gets into races so go plant your sour grapes elsewhere.

However, he's rightly considered a self-important sleaze for doing that. Showed his true character right there.

Through a weird turn of events I ended up having dinner with Goucher and a few friends years ago the night before a race Kara was in, and it was this whole song and dance even back then too. Him just sorta insinuating and leading it there but never giving anything credible.

Regarding the Rupp- Salazar bromance. I wonder what the state of affairs are now with both Kejelcha and Hassan under the direct tutelage of Salazar?

Both these athletes have blossomed enormously under NOP with both Hassan and Kejelcha demonstrating they are very competitive at a huge range between distances 1500 - half marathon. Both have more talent and will feature far more prominently upon the international scene than Rupp ever has/will.

I wonder whether Rupp is now the training partner for Kejelcha and the male pacer for Hassan when she does her speedwork.....

Nonsense. He was never a factor in the race, he was nothing more field fodder in his career's twilight and thus no more deserving than anyone who had actually qualified via performance. A younger, developing runner would have benefitted far more. Him not running would have made exactly zero impact on the race's actual outcome. He let himself get pushed in by the Capriotti/Salazar/Nike machine because that was his only value to them, another set of swooshes in the back of the pack. It was a b*tch move, no a wh*re move.
