By far the " most informative poster" of my youth was a photo of a man dressed in a top hat that was red, white, & blue. He was pointing at me and the caption read "UNCLE SAM WANTS YOU". It kept me in college.

Where has Gabe Jennings posted, I'd be very interested to read what he wrote.
I was thinking the same. I've never seen any Gabe Jennings posts. I can imagine they are rather interesting! And speaking of whom, any work on what he has been up to lately?
I don't understand why Jason gets the wrap of being so informative. Because he's had one good race in 10+ years and finally broke 2:20 after about 153 attempts, people think he's wise?
I find him entertaining and some of his training tips relevent towards the marathon, but I think he's full of a lot of crap most of the time.
What gets me most is when he spouts of crap in kilometers.
Jason, this board is about 99% American. I know you're a bit of a high brow, but seriously, who knows what the hell you're talking about when you say the Japanese men ran 30km at 4:10/km pace? Who the hell understands that? You couldn't have possibly forgotten the English system so easily, could you?
My choices for best (most informative) posters are in no specific order are-
Hadd
Vipam
JEH
Wejo
Joseph A. McVeigh
Bubba-not informative but sometimes funny
Portland Runner
and hopefully they will get better.

Legalizit and Morceli, the thread starter said that Jennings has posted (with the alias of very spiritual). I have never seen him post, and I just did a search to find a "very spiritual". Nothing. So, he doesn't post often (if it all). This relative lack of participation is the basis for why I discluded him on my most informative list.
I do remember on the old board a person posting under Jennings name. It was funny because in true Letsrun form, just a day or two after he got trashed for his eccentricities, etc., people were all over the thread (smooch smooch). Not that I had a problem with it - just thought it was funny. So, maybe that was the real him... but I do not believe he said anything particular noteworthy (nothing you'd be thrilled with legalizit)... I recall it being rather mild.
Efrain, I understand your point on Jason. Since he did come from cammo pants and being a 9minute miler in HS (and as you put it, "had one good race in 10+ years and finally broke 2:20 after about 153 attempts"), he has a story to tell. The reason why I gave him an honorable mention, though, is because he frequently is very helpful to people with simple questions. Despite other behaviors, this is pretty cool, I think.
Pampiniform Plexus.
Why is it that the mere mention of the name Gabe Jennings
awakens you from your slumber? Your earlier posts was thick with the visions of someone at peace with the universe; however, now the posts are void of what was. If this is the real Legalizit my apologies, but the posts now are totally different.
Vipam
Miss October. That centerfold kept me whacking off all through adolescence until Mary Beth finally put out in the back seat of my dad's car.
Vipam,
The posts of visions of the future have largely subsided, yes. Gabe's mention awakens me from my slumber because what he says resonates within me. I havn't been posting about what is passing through me much because it seems to have been a waste of energy, plus I am growing quite rapidly and as I do my ideas stray further from what is currently accepted and praised. It appears those far out posts of the past simply helped me clarify what was in my own mind. Look at the names mentioned on this thread for those that are the most informative poster and you'll not see me mentioned once. This shows me that i'm not being heard, because I know many things i've said are much more powerful than others mentioned as most informative. After reading the Carlos Castaneda series I understand myself much better. It is wiser for me to be patient, build up my energy, manifest all these thoughts within myself and then pulse all of that accumulated energy at a big race. If I'm still an also ran, as I was in high school, than the ideas coming through me mean little for I couldn't even prove them on myself. However, if I shock a lot of people and do something big, suddenly people will be wanting to go back and re-evaluate what I have written about crossing one's eyes, standing as still and upright as a tree, firing like an alternating current system instead of a direct current system, being able to look directly up and directly down in just an instant, training with a blindfold on, training with earmuffs on, not wearing shoes, fasting, using a bike and elliptical trainer to work on increasing one's peak stride rate, working on one's forehead muscles, working on ones cheek muscles, sticking the tongue out to increase bodily awareness, being able to gaze at something without blinking, running with the breath held, etc. Should I qualify for the Olympics, after being so expendable to be kicked off my high school track team, then people will come to me and ask me questions, and they will be open to what I have to say. In the meantime, rest assured i'll be paying attention for the right time to strike.
JEH,
I accept your explanation of how I am a "tool" - fortunately I'm in with good company there.
Even so, I suggest that this is not your normal kind of response. Perhaps you need to up your Dr. Pepper intake back to 5 per day.
If there is any way I can be of help, just let me know.
This "tool" usage does seem an unusual response from our MVP.
Just remember JEH, I too am willing to help, if ever you think a short session of talk therapy would help to resolve these newly arising issues, you know the address:
Legalizit
Your posts are highly unusual in the sense of the language usage; however, in the few post that I ran across most were very, very interesting. I wish you the warm embrace of mental self-exploration and gratification and good luck in your career.
Vipam
my vote for funniest poster - el machin'
There are a bunch of informative posters: malmo, trackhead, mayeroff, jk, some others.
In the few months that I've visited this board one person clearly sticks in my mind as "THE Most Informative Poster."
#1 is HADD.
His writings are laced with excellent, thorough explanations and advice.
The posters who stand out to me as always informative are
#1 Vipam
#2 Wejo
#3 Hadd
#4 legalizit
#5 A. McVeigh
#6 Portland Runner
#7 10k runner
of all of the popular and most informative poster Vipam catches the most flack. The way that he handles the attackers with professionalism and most of the time refraining from comebacks makes him my #1 informative poster. Wejo great job on the most informative running site.
42doubled
Hadd is good.....damned good.
The funniest poster IMHO is PortlandRunner.

I have emailed you & you do not get back to me about your Eugene, OR project/thoughts & the alternative medical practices available. Your one the best writers of information from the outside of excepted knowledge on this board. Continue to write here, I would like to communicate with you.
Thanks,
A good friend of mine who is trying to make the trials in the steeple, or triathlon if things end up looking better for that route, is moving in with me here in Eugene in May. I just didn't want to attract too many people before we had something solid and tangible going. I'm very excited to see where we'll be come this time, or actually trials time, next year.
What makes you so sure this board is '99%' american? I'm Australian and I have noticed many other non-americans posting. Get a bloody calculator and multiply by 1.609 to return kilometres to miles. And there is a world outside America you know.
Geez
