You misunderstood. I meant, please keep up abreast of his progression and inform/let us know when he jumps over 8m20.

Holloway's 110H PR was run into a -1.7 headwind, which suggests along with his recent 60H PR that he can threaten 13.1 or so this year. At the same time, Holloway has split 44.10 indoors in the 4x4 and could probably run under 45 if he ran the open 400. He has about half a meter of improvement left in the long jump at the very least but is still consistently jumping over 8m/26'. He is nonetheless already competing at a level that could get him into multiple Olympic finals.

Seems like he has potential to be a unique athlete on the international stage. Ashton Eaton could have been world class in the hurdles, sprints, and long jump his whole career without ever picking up the decathlon, but Holloway should be able to pursue such a triple more successfully than Eaton could have.

I imagine in the next four years he will perform somewhere along these lines:

60H: 7.35

110H: 13.15

400: 44.60

LJ: 8.40 (27' mid)

He will contend for Olympic gold in the long jump and hurdles, and if he can make it onto the U.S 4x4 in Tokyo, that's a guaranteed gold. Later on, he might go down as the GOAT.

After today, Tim Duckworth is also close to Holloway

LJ best of 8m03 (today)

HJ best of 2m17

Also now has a 10.40 best for 100m (today)

I guess getting close to world class in the 110H. Should just stick with that. Right now he can't jump past 8 meters so he can forget about the long jump.

Yes, only Nehemiah has gone faster than him in College (in 1979!!!)

He is also now also faster than Warner who has a best of 13.27

His PB at HJ/LJ/110H would give him 3133 points

I'd love to see what Holloway could do in the 100 and 400

He keeps running relays. Why can't they give him a break one weekend and allow him to run the individual 100m or 400m (or both)?

2.10 HJ/ 8.14 LJ / 12.92 hurdles

Got to UNC as a decathlete prospect but did it all including both relays, 200M , 400H and the TJ. Injuries pushed him to the hurdles full- time.

January 2019 Update:

-Add a 20.68 indoor 200 to the list (NCAA #2) after opening with a pair of 7.49's in the 60m hurdles (world lead).

He's entered in the long jump this weekend, so we'll get a chance to see how he's progressing on that front.
