Slagowski ran 1:48/1:49 3 or 4 times as a senior... iirc he either even or negative split every time.

He also closed his first 3:59 mile with a 1:56/1:57 final 800m. Maybe his endurance needs more time to return, but judging by his past performances, I would think 1:19 indoor would be more than indicative of at least a 1:48 outdoors.

I'll help you out a little bit. This topic was about indoors 2018. He ended up running an impressive 1:53 outdoors in 2018. So much for your theory.

To be fair, most of those guys running 1:19 600s probably aren't milers.

He is the Mary Cain of male running. He ran college times in HS and HS times in college. Maybe he will be running JH times post-college.
