Kind of. The old white men that run the Fortune 500 companies of the world have 1970s values. Until those sexist old men retire, women have an uphill battle trying to get ahead in the working world. They have to operate with a chip on their shoulder, some attitude. It's a PITA being a woman in that kind of environment. It's exhausting.
Fortunately, millennials have a better grasp that a woman, in fact, does not have a smaller brain than a man and menstruate if they get too stressed. They have the common sense that regardless of sex, everyone can do the same job.
You are an oblivious if you think this isn't the case.
Ok, let's look at the 5 largest Fortune 500
Apple's CEO completed College in the mid 80s. Where did he get the his 1970s values from,
Google's CEO was born in 1972, so he completed College in the 90s. Again, did he buy a time machine to go to the past and develop his values
Microsoft CEO was born in 1967, so he completed College in mid/late 80s
Facebook CEO was born in 1984. I'm not even sure if his parents had 1970s values.
Shall I go on?
What you are worrying about ended decades ago. But thank you for your historical reference. It's nice to hear what old women who are now in their 60s and 70s lived when they started their careers.
