Un italiano degno di nota su letsrun. In bocca al lupo per la tua mezza e complimenti per quei variati davvero impressionanti! (Da un 1500ista di MIlano che corre i 1500 al passo dei tuoi 5000 o poco meno ahahah)

Damn, nice track speed you got there too with the 8:13 and 14:02.
A guy from my country (Samuel Barata) has done 64:xx last year with 3:50, 8:03 and 13:58 pb's. You guys are very similar in track pedigree so i reckon you can run 64 as well.
Good luck Pietro!
Today i did my last workout pre race (3x3 k off 800 m easy running) in 9'06 avg recoveries run at 3'35/40 per km.
On subday i did the last "long" run (was not long indeed) of 18 km at 3'40 avg
Now i will run from 14 to 16 km tomorrow and
14 km finishing fast on thursday.
On Friday maybe 45/50 min and lots of strides
Saturday will be easy..just 30' and some strides
64'55 in International Treviso Half
Won the half marathon running completely alone
Some pieces of the course were on dirt (about 2 km) and a bit hilly...the second ran in 66:06
Hoping to do better with a bit more company and a faster course
well done, are you planning a marathon next year?
No i'm only 20...want to improve my pb on the track

Molto buono.
good work man thats amazing. so when will you start training again? will you take some days off now?
Keep up the good work.
Nice job! I'm sure you can improve the time with competition and a fast course. But it's still a good race.
Good guess!

Yes, the runner is Pietro Riva who came 5th in European Champs some days ago. We chat alot 4 years ago. He told me it was his coach back then who used to be at LRC and started this thread. I adviced Pietro for some time with his coach permission and he won his first half in 1:04:50. Pietro told me he wanted me to be his personal coach but he told it was impossible because then he wouldn't get his yearly 30000 euros from his clube the Italian Police. End of true story .
Jan,
Athletes make up excuses when you beg to be their coach because it feels cruel to just tell you to F off.
Unfortunately, as a narcissist, you are unable to recognise that they are just trying to politely get rid of you and it just boosts your ego even further.
It’s a vicious cycle.
Oh Jan when will it end. wrote:

Hehe! )) Well, I never begged Pietro to be his coach . He told me his wish was me to be his private coach but it couldn't be because then he wouldn't get his 30000 euros yearly sponsorship and wouldn't be in the Italian Athletic federations develop system. Try to understand. I'm a freelancing online coach without possibilty to give my runners sponsorship . The only thing I can give them is world class top coaching.🧙♂️🇸🇪
60.30 in Valencia yesterday.
