these 1500/3k gals usually don't have better than 54s speed

hassan woud do very well to run 1'57-flat
for her to run ~ 1'55.0 requires far better 400 speed than likely 54.0 even though she brings 3'53/3'54 endurance to the table

Went through 1500 in just under 3:59.
Honestly, I have doubts that Dibaba will even medal this year. It's not like she is a super smart tactical racer. She needs a few second cushion on everyone to be competitive in a championship.

She was already tying up but in the last 25 meters she purposefully eased up when she saw she was way off. It could have been a 4:15 flat

2:35.5 at 1000 in 5000 is 12:57 pace. Seems like a good pace. Not too fast and can still kick to a great time

The Kenyan 5000m is worst of any event. Even worse than their sprint team. AK should bend their rules a little and handpick a team.

Yeah, I don't really see her do that after replaying it, but it doesn't matter.
It's funny that if Dibaba had just started jogging her victory lap right after running 3:50, she would have gotten to the mile mark on the backstretch before the time that she did full out today. Dibaba is a strange athlete.
