Who watches prime-time NBC coverage? The NBC Sports/Olympic app, T&F feed is brilliant. No commercials, no crappy commentators. All races, and even some field events!

Is there a way I can do that without a cable subscription? They told me to log in with my cable credentials last time I tried.

I think it'll give you 30 minutes free if you clear your cookies. You can keep doing that or just time it for the events you want to see.

I bet if it was Manzano in that other heat they would have showed it. They just want to keep the white man down.
They're just jealous of his epic beard and flowing locks.
Jealous? Embarrassed really.
Pissed me off too. I was watching the live feed and my feed froze at 2:36 into the heat. I figure OK, at least I'll catch it on tonight's replay. No such luck.

First of all - Ben probably isn't complaining about the lack of coverage.
Second- he ditched the media last year, probably because he was ticked off at himself and needed some space. No need to have a mic shoved into your face moments after disappointment.
Third- one guy has long hair and a beard (Ben) and another has short hair and no beard (Centro, Eaton,...) - who cares? He is a runner who runs fast as supported by making the 1500M final.
Finally- He isn't the most talented guy in the event but he does show a huge heart, highly competitive, hard working, disciplined over many years of training, focused. Aren't those the best of qualities?
Sure he had a brain fart with his aggressive push at the trials and probably didn't need to do what he did (even though he was being cut off at the time).
You don't need to cut him slack, instead you should appreciate a blue collar attitude who has achieved his level of success in a highly competitive/talented event.
I like Ben's blue collar approach. I just think he would save himself some sweat and itch if he ditched the hairy look.
Blankenship has had the long hair look going since he arrived to Minnesota back in 2008. Once he was able to start growing facial hair in probably 2010-11, he let that grow too. For people who think he's some wannabe, that is Ben.
He is a good person and a fast runner. What does it matter what he looks like?
Go kill it, Blank!

West coast coverage = AWFUL
no 1500 - but 15 mins of the 4x100 running by themselves.
What will happen tomorrow.
2 hours of the 4x100
What the hell!!!
Were the 1500 heats not on NBCSN???
Personally, I wanted to watch the 4 x 100 much more than 1500 heats.
Nope
Ben "The Hobo" Blankenship
Whatch'all talkin' bout my boy Ben being ugly?!
Dintchy'all see that list of "30 Hottest Male Olympians" that Ben AND Evan Jager was on?
Ben is a sexy whiteboy and I would beez lovin to twerk fo' his long-haired mug any daytheweek!
Ben on fleek!
It's shocking to me that track fans are still watching NBC's Prime Time coverage.
SO many better options (CBC, BBC, etc.).
The main network coverage is really horrendous. It's some sort of amalgamation of reality TV editing and the collective fantasy of a bunch of news presenters who think it's still the 20th century.
Watch the individuals events stream on NBC or just find a pirated stream. It's crazy how we have the technology to make every event watchable live and NBC persists with this weird network editorial format.
They don't show guys like Ben because they know people care more about medal-contending Americans in way less competitive sports than they do about incredible performances from a guy who might just barely sneak into the top half of the field in the final. Centro actually has an outside shot at a medal and he's got a marketable personality, story-line, and he checks the PC box.

I have nothing at all gainst Ben. I just think the hair and beard look like they would cause some discomfort in a race. I know I would not want to run a marathon with that much hair.
Amazing board, this. A guy with a beard and long hair gets dissed, as if a beard and long hair should ever be an issue. Results are the issue, and Ben has been there in the right place at the right time and running strong when it counts. Olympic Trials, and now the Olympics. That's someone I'll root for any day. It would thrill me to see him with a medal around his neck.
Give Ben a crew cut, a shave, and a slice of apple pie, and maybe a few more posters will start jumping on the Ben Bandwagon.
Oh, right, he's not nice enough to the media...he's a rugged individualist...he's a mean cuss vs his fellow runners during competition, so I should join the multitudes and focus on negatives, and hate him. Do his detractors want a hairy runner with attitude, conviction, and confidence standing on the podium? I don't think so.
Go, Ben, go. Mind you, I want Centro to win, but...silver or bronze would be a fine hunk o' metal for you.

Last night I got Bob Costas talking about Ryan Lochte at a gas station while the women were going 123 in the hurdles. You gotta stream the events live online or NBC might blow it.
Or they just don't want to support our Vietnam vets like Ben.
Vietnam veteran? He's about 20 years too young.
Put down the bong, dude.
Are we going to let NBC and Ryan Lochte ruin the last three days of the Olympics for us? NO!!!!! Use the Livestream!!!! So..... Go Shelby!! Go Matt and Ben!! Go Kate!! Go Bernard!! Go Galen, Meb, and Jared!! Let's close out Rio with a bang!!

NBCSN only shows team sports and the like in the afternoon. If anything is good on, they save it for their prime time show. Or in the case of the 1500m heat with world champion Kiprop last night, they forget about it.

That's a clown post bro. Blanky has mad style! Clearly the best style in the 1500 final. Only Kemboi comes close! The reverse Mohawk!?!? Kemboi is SICK!!!
