What do you think the cleanest event in the olympics?

If we're talking all Olympics, it's interesting to consider a couple of winter sports that, at least to my outside observer self, seem to require nothing athletic at all and instead only a pair of cast iron nuts:

A) Ski jumping

B) Bobsled / luge / skeleton

And then of course there's curling. Is there a PED to help move the broom with more accuracy?

Ski jumpers have been caught with amphetamines, diuretics, and other drugs. The sport benefits from an extremely unnatural physique, and is prime for doping.

Bobsled is, among others, a strength event. Of course, there have been doping cases; often for steroids.

My inclination is to say that Shooting / Marksmanship should be the cleanest, but I suppose that drugs that help your concentration & alertness would be very useful.

Maybe Equestrian if you're talking about the humans and not the horses. The horses must be all drugged up.

Dressage riders have to be the cleanest or maybe golf.

Drugs may help you hit the long ball but they don't help you hit the short shot. More short shots then long ones...

Track, specifically the 10,000, is the cleanest sport in the Olympics hands down, if you disagree your a bigot

Both of those sports pay better than track and field:

There are PEDs for just about any sport. Some are obvious (anabolic steriods and weight lifting, epo and any endurance event) and some a bit harder to quantify ( beta blockers for sports like shooting, golf, and pretty much anything where you stress can hurt performance, things like adderall to help concentration) the benefit. And some people will always cheat to win even without financial gains.

Dirk van Tichelt won his first Olympic judo medal Monday.

Dirk Van Tichelt probably didn’t envision one of the greatest days of his life ending in the hospital. But that’s exactly where the Belgian judoka found himself Monday night hours after winning his first-ever Olympic medal.

Van Tichelt won bronze in the 73-kg judo competition on Monday. Naturally, he went off to Copacabana Beach that night to celebrate the achievement. And that’s where things went awry.

Van Tichelt was reportedly assaulted by a thief on the famous beach, and was struck in the face. He was taken to the hospital after the incident.

Hmm, Petanque had 1, Lawn Bowls had 2, and Boules with 0 (data from 2014).

3 out of 181 makes this an incredibly high percentage compared to other types of sports.

I just can't understand why fishing has so many?

Two in fresh water, 1 in casting, 1 in fly fishing, 1 in sea angling, 5/47 total, over 10% ???

Darts at 8/94 for 8.5% I can at least understand (beta blockers).
