Something WAS wrong, it wasn't "falling flat on your face", that would have been those 2 guys back fighting for top-30. In my opinion, they just had an 'ok' race while some others around them had better races.
In the last 1k Teg was passed by maybe 5 guys, he passed maybe 2. The 4 guys that passed him in the last 1k were either right with him or a couple seconds back at 9k - not a major change.
Solinsky did fade the last 800. He was struggling at 9k and was in 10th place with 2-3 guys right behind him. He lost about 15 seconds in that last 1000m, most of which was in the last 500m.
