Thanks! It was fun to watch. I was lucky enough to be able to announce the awards for the guys. All 7 who came to the Podium took pictures arm in arm. It is a great group of guys.

You CAN do an all-star relay at the Midwest Distance Classic - Illinois teams will represent their conferences and other states will run as a state team - each state can have multiple teams! I am willing to coordinate for Michigan.

Or you can run the 4x800 at the Midwest meet that Michgan, Ohio, Indiana run against each other.

By comparison:

How many are 17 years old and running 40 to 50 miles per week?

How many are two time Gatorade National runners of the year?

How many have been unbeaten for two years in their age group in cross country, indoor, and outdoor?

How many were on two world championship teams prior to their senior high school year?

How many could have been accepted into Stanford?

This list is not a knock against any of the wonderful athletes, coaches and program that is the U of O, rather it is to expose yet another ignorant and jealous post by a high school kid and this one calls himself "they call me flo pro"

Jealous and poor comparison.

Naturally when comparing many of the top college athletes to top high school athletes in the middle distances - there is no comparison. But by you comparing Grant to Oregon's top middle distance guys, subconsciously, you believe he is of comparative caliber. Therefore, your intended put down is actually a compliment.

So many great high school athletes in all disciplines of our sport right now. Being from Michigan it is wonderful to see so many from our state doing so well nationally and getting attention from even the haters out there.
