I think a previous poster hit it on the head...this is all designed to start building some interest in a book.
Clearly she has a taste for the good life and for being in the spotlight, and she has no real job skills, at least which she can practic legally. I saw her Facebook page yesterday and she still seems to crave attention, with several recent glamor shots. She was standing in front of her in-laws house in Malibu, which looks like a real mansion so her husband must come from a lot of money, but the housing meltdown probably put a major hurt on his real estate business in Madison for the past 5 years.
Like another fallen star, Lance Armstrong, she doesn't seem to have much shame about her transgressions and doesn't seem capable of leading a quiet, normal life outside of the media.
The American way: Screw up, get caught, get rich. Disgusting.

At this point its worth a shot. At least attempt to keep the sport alive anyway, anyhow in the general publics perception.
Who at this point can probably not name one current professional track runner than maybe Usain Bolt. Maybe.

I ran this through a number of translators, without success. I'm guessing you meant that the average non-track fan can name at most one track athlete (Bolt) and that even this would be a bonus. You also appear to be saying that a way to remedy this would be a sordid reality show featuring SFH. I'm really not seeing what such a thing would do for the sport of track and field.
There's a lot of weird, righteous anger in this thread. Many of those claiming that a book by, or movie about, SFH would be "boring" are certainly expending a lot of energy and venom in saying so. I would bet many thousands of dollars that if she penned a book with enough lewd details of her "professional" life, or better yet appeared even partially nude in a biopic, every one of you (the males, at least) capable of reading would read the book, although you'd try to find a way to not pay for it since you're a bunch of slobbering and entitled punks. And you'd happily spank your little crankies to the film.
And even if I were wrong, why get so riled about the notion of SFH writing a book? If you're all correct and it'll be filled with boring tripe, it won't sell for shit.
