Alexa has a college coach. Sure he was a high school coach but ...

He's also been a Division 1 college coach - Portland State University; as well as George Fox (Division 3 I think).

And frankly, if you look at the two coaches in question (Salazar and Hickey) - I'm not sure who is worse. And yes, I know the two in question.

And hasn't Hickey been quoted as saying that he's gone to Salazar for advice about coaching Efraimson?

Prediction: within 6 months this message board is going to be full of posts about how Efraimson has every advantage and her times don't really count as HS times and that the person they really like is Hannah DeBalsi [until DeBalsi outgrows HS competition, gets a pro coach, etc.]

See below for a tidbit from an article about DiBalsi from March. Emphasis added. Reckon those 600s are being run a bit faster now.

Training System: DeBalsi credits the Staples’ distance coaches, Malcolm Watson and Amanda Parrish, with bringing her along and keeping training fun. DeBalsi logs about 45 to 50 miles a week. Last fall, one of her key workouts was 6 x 600m on the track with a 400m jog. She started her 600s at 2:00 and worked down to 1:45.
