Why the heck is Jordan Hasay still racing?

I agree. NIKE needs to put this logo on a T-shirt and get it out there for sale. Do you know how many kids(and adults) would buy this shirt?

NCAA Regionals was only Jordan's second 10K ever. Almost going down in that race had to negatively play on her mind a bit. With that said, having yet to master the 10K, she most likely took a more "cautious" approach to subsequent races. Even when she ran her qualifying race in Portland, she admitted pulling back some at the four mile mark because she wanted to be sure she had enough to finish strong. Once she masters the 10K and gains that needed confidence, her times are going to improve dramatically.

OK, thanks. Now I know that whenever I see a result for Jordan Hasay, it should not be interpreted like other runners' results. For other runners, if they run a 31:46 10k, or 32:17, or whatever, we assume they were racing hard and that's what they could run. But with JH, things are never what they seem, and she is never quite trying her hardest.

If her 10k time is going to improve dramatically, it will have to do so in line with both her 5000m AND her 3000m times. I think she has still yet to break 15 and if so, then 31:46 is very close to an all out potential effort. lets not forget that she basically had a wind barrier in that run.

Nice try, but you're wrong about #2. There should not be a comma there as he's not quoting dialogue -- he's instead quoting a textual phrase that fits grammatically into his own sentence (while often quotes are themselves are independent clauses, thus requiring separation via comma). Here a comma is not necessary.
