He is saying the same for the Golden Spike meet in Ostrava this thursday. He said he was getting in shape and that he wanted to run a fast 5000m to be selected for the Ethiopian team.

I just worry about the weather, some heavy rains are coming (however, he wouldn't have found a good weather there if he had come anytime during the last month - heavy rains and floods, then heat (100F)and now extreme raining and floods are predicted again)

Why should anyone retire just because he is not at his absolute peak. I'm about 80% of my peak performance professionally right now, but I'm still better than most. Bekele is a huge draw and among the best-paid people in his profession.
