Why is no one talking about Ryan Hill

He is best compared to Estrada and Puskedra. Derrick and GF seem to have a bit more talent but are less consistent due to injury, especially GF.

To the guy who said Bayer and Hill could join Schumacher - that sounds great but how many guys can be coach? His big is that staff?

Fair enough, except he does have a faster mile and 3000 than either Derrick or GF.

I would think that Teg, Bairu and Nelson probably don't require a ton of attention any longer and only have a few competetive years left, so Schumacher needs to replennish the stable.

Seems like Bayer and Hill are as solid choices as anyone for his crew.

Bairu, Nelson, and Vaughn are already out of the "stable" thanks to their contracts not being renewed. And if there were openings you would think that Badger seniors like Darling, Ahmed, Finnerty, and Krause would have first dibs.

Waldrop(UNC-Chapel Hill) circa 1975 was slightly faster and consistent with 13 straight collegiate sub 4 miles.

Ryan Hill is a lone star runner for N.C.State just like Tony Waldrop was for UNC-Chapel Hill circa 1975. Ryan Hill is making his mark and has run 3:54 on the new indoor track unlike the tracks used in mid 70s where Tony Waldrop not only ran a 3:55 but ran 13 sub 4 collegiate miles before bowing out prior to 1976 Olympic trials.

He hardly races as he is always pointing towards the end of the season and then he doesn't even go with Lawi in the final even though he is running just 59s. Not a baller!

Point still stands. 3 years ago an american runs 3:55 in the NCCA indoor mile...people would go bonkers. Not saying it's unjustified or wrong or people should care, I just think it's interesting and my guess is his results go under most peoples radar.
