Absolutely no way he touches sub 1:45
Does anyone think before they make predictions or do they just pick a number that sounds nice?
We all (should) know he doesn't have the 800 speed of wheating, or manzano for that matter.
We all know?
Horsespit!
It is a mystery, as Cento has not run many 800's, nor has he focused on running one at any specific time, for time.
Additionally, Centro has always run his PR's off of racing. Racing to win. Not just being in the race, and getting pulled along without trying to be a factor in the race.
The only possible exception to this was WC's, where he smartly ran for Bronze... He knew he was out classed, and he knew he had had a monstrously long season.
We also don't know how much fitness he lost and how much he's regained.
The way he runs such a measured, paced 1500, I am not even sure it is smart for him to race an 800 at this point.
Jetlag could determine a lot.
It's a mystery.
When fit, he is certainly capable of 1:44.5+
His 1500 times indicate he is in the fitness range of guys who have done his 1500 times and 1:44.'s
