He's not stupid, he did this as a lark, no downside.
She is one of the top social media marketers worldwide, if he gets lucky and she says yes, a new world of promo/revenue stream opens up for him.
He would have made a more timely choice if it was 4 years ago. OR he could pick someone more buzz worthy today.
