I'm very glad that people that know how to read photos are making the calls and not LSR people that know nothing about FAT.

I want to echo what the few experts have said; most of you folks have no idea about reading FAT film. Releasing these photo's can only cause aggravation for the timing company since most of you yo-yo's have no idea what you're talking about. And to think that understanding FAT (it's not video folks) and how to read film would be necessary to be a track and field fan.

The entire shoulder IS NOT considered part of the torso; the torso begins at the acromion process; I'll let those of you who are interested google that part of your anatomy so you know where it is. If an athlete twists, the reader of the film has to do his/her best to decise where to drop the hairline so that it sits on the acromion process.

Many sprint coaches choose to teach a swim finish so to take advantage of a small difference between a good twister vs. a good leaner.

For those of us who read film, Wheating clearly beats Leer.

Oh, snap!

30 years ago it was actually film, developed at the meet, and read as such. I started in the FAT business just in time to read the actual developed film. The name has stuck over time. Believe me, current technology is a blessing.

I take back what I wrote. The rules are a bit unclear but read how you said they did. I'm reaching out to Jill Geer for clarification. I could see a train of thought that "A"s should go because they are more competitive on the World stage.
