That's true. Business and goverment are now empowered with Obama's HCR to remove useless middle men and bureaucracy from the Health Care and Insurance Industry.
It will take 3 to 4 years for NIST, HEW, Doctors, Hospitals, Drug, Pharmacy, Medical Billing companies, computer software firms, etc. to standardize the process and to eliminate waste. The result in 4 years will be insurance exchanges that will drive down costs, standardized web forms for medical records, medical procedures, drugs, lab forms, AP/AR.
There will be great upheaval for the medical insurance industry, HMOs, PPOs, and Hospitals. Many of them will merge and go under and middle men, useless functions, and waste are eliminated. The end result is everyone will be covered and costs reduced.
Private industry and Government have gone through this process dozens of times in the history of the United States. In the 1960s the mainframe computer got rid of millions of accountants and office clerks. In the 1980s, dedicated Word Processor Computers and Mini-Computers got rid of millions of secretaries and middle managers. Private Industry and Government must go through these tough transitions to make things more efficient and to save money. That's why I see HCR/HIR as a normal part of improving business and government.
