I think most are willing to give him his second chance, while continuing to watch how his new life plays out over the coming years and months. It will be a while before I'm 100% convinced that he is a new man, but there's certainly evidence to show he has learned and turned his life around. Here's hoping that's the case.

No one here is arguing that the Jim Crow Laws and other legislation that was outlawed due to the civil rights were right. Repealing them was obviously the right thing to do. However, the comparison you are making is not on the same level of severity. Does anyone here think the Jim Crow laws were good? no. Does anyone here think that killing dogs is an acceptable practice? I sure as hell hope not.
