No problem. You need to get away from the doctors to get healthy. They can do nothing for you except keep you down.

There is a lot of stuff out there that has cured cancer. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to work across all cancer types. Each one seems to be different. So, what alternative approaches work for one tumor type don't really affect another. In my case, little is really understood about the pathways allowing the disease to persist. The real killer with mine is that even if they get you 100% NED (No evidence of disease) it will most likely come back. A handful of people have survived, but, doctors typically don't encourage you to think of cure with mine. I am trying to absorb as much as I can about alternative stuff, but, it's pretty overwhelming to make heads or tails of.

Actually the Mayans world ended a long time ago. They weren't very good at math apparently. Maybe they needed Obama too.

I have 27 and have a rare degenerative disease that will eventually kill me. I've had it for 4.5 years and didn't expect to make it this long. I went to great lengths to prepare a suicide kit that will allow me to control my own fate when the time comes, and that affords me great peace of mind. My life is serene now. I don't have any problems or worries. I go restaurants, concerts, track meets, etc. and just have fun. I can't run, but still work out with weights twice a week and am actually stronger now than before I got sick. I'm just going to live out the last few years and then peace out with no regrets. It really doesn't bother me that I'm going to die. It's over as soon as I close my eyes - I don't have to worry about being a corpse or getting cut up on the autopsy table or burning in the crematorium. That never happens from my perspective.

I think your kids might appreciate a journal of your memories/life experiences more than just short sentence advice. The stories can reveal what's important in life in a much clearer way than short aphorisms.

I've been trying to do this myself lately - just sit down and write when the inspiration hits me. Probably the sign that I'm getting old, ha.

I read letsrun almost every day but very rarely respond to threads...maybe twice a year. This one is both sad and insirational. Sad in that there could be a looming end, but inspirational in that it seems like you are taking advantage of your time with your family. In response to the original question of the thread, I would take a really cool trip with my family if I could afford it, maybe something your kids would really like like Disney World. Or perhaps just a trip with your wife, doind things you wouldn't have the chance to do with kids.

It rwally puts into perspective the incredible bonds you build when you have a family. I am a single 27 year old male and when I saw the topic the first thing I thought was "bang as many hot girls as possible." Good to see you are looking to do more meaningful things.

Whether you believe or not. Pray for a miracle. Your view of healing and God's view of healing are two different things. To God, ultimate healing is leaving the earth to be in an eternal body. To humans healing is getting back to full health for earthly desires. Pray that God lets you spend more time with your family and friends.
