The best is a vanilla ice cream cone! Damn, I'm going to go get one right now.

breakfast only - the pancakes are the ultimate.
mzungu wrote:no lie about the kenyas. last year i travelled with a bunch of them, and invariably they would either choose chinese buffet, mcdonalds, or pizza. i don't know that we ever ate anything else unless the race provided it. those guys can kill some fries. the only way i ever found to break them from it was to introduce them to real mexican food - good carne asada, black beans, and good tortillas.
i was at a race with one of them, and i offered to buy him dinner. he had won, so i told him we'd go wherever he wanted and i'd buy. the result: macdonald's - 2 big macs, 2 fries, and like 5 refills on the coke. of course i saw this same guy down 2 IHOP burgers and fries for breakfast once, so he may be a freak example.
mzungu, why does this surprise you? A young distance runner in full training is a metabolic machine. I can remember eating and entire pie as a bedtime snack in the middle of 100+ mile weeks when I was 20 years old...and I was under 3% body fat by a tank measurement.
These guys today worry WAAAAAAAAYYYYYY to much about nutrition. If you're in your late teens through mid-20's and training as hard as you can, I'm firmly convinced that you just need to throw whatever you can down your gullet to get you through your next workout. Your astronomical BMR on top of blowing off 1500-2000 calories a day in training creates caloric demands that boggle the mind.
I think Barry Sears or Mr. Adkins must be doing some seminars in Kenya.
The USATF should open up some MCDEES in Kenya and give away damn burgers and fries for free. In two years, running will be obsolete in Kenya and maybe the US will have an oportunity to medal in 2008.
Mai Tai
I knew some Kenyans that would basically spend all their time eating chinese or Popeyes fried chicken. They loved the stuff. They probably ate fast food type stuff 4+ days of the week, but most of the time it was Popeyes.
What do they call a "quarter pounder with cheese" in France?
You really need to watch Pulp Fiction again.
For me, it's the McChicken. The best fast food sandwich. I even ask for extra McChicken sauce packets and the staff is so friendly and more than willing to oblige.
One time I asked for McChicken sauce packets and they gave me three. I said, "Wow, three for free!" and the nice friendly McDonald's worker laughed and said, "I'm going to call you 3-for-free!".
Now the staff greets me with "hey it's 3-for-free!" and ALWAYS give me three packets. It's such a fun and cool atmosphere at my local McDonald's restaurant, I go there at least 3 times a week for lunch and a large iced coffee with milk instead of cream, 1-2 times for breakfast on the weekend, and maybe once for dinner when I'm in a rush but want a great meal that is affordable, fast, and can match my daily nutritional needs.
I even dip my fries in McChicken sauce, it's delicious! What a great restaurant.
If not that hungry: Cheeseburger and small fries.
Kind of hungry: Quarter pounder with cheese.
Hungry: Double quarter pounder with cheese.
The Big breakfast.
I am a Big Mac guy. Medium fries and a coke. Very boring.
I used to be a big mac + fries guy but now I just order 2 big macs
plus a diet sprite to wash it all down unless they have a coke freestyle machine then I go a lil crazy with some grape sprite or strawberry sprite
Big Mac with extra cheese
Big Mac!
Regular hamburger.

For the most part I eat relatively healthy, but I will admit that I love fast food.
Thank you. The OP has slandered the name of one of America's greatest companies by saying "if you have to eat there."
The answer- Brittney Reese special. Just had it the other day as I'm a huge WBB fan. It's a quarter pounder with cheese and bacon and barbecue sauce.
I go to McDonalds almost every day with my son after school. Fries and a small coke.
I was always a Quarterpounder with cheese, fries and coke guy until about 15 years ago. The Big Mac is beloved by me now but I often won't eat it if I'm driving as it's hard to eat and drive. Too messy.
I always used to love the large fries but the medium drink as the medium drink came in a paper cup which tasted better but now I think all the cups are plastic. Since I've become a dieting expert, I often will order small everything. Hell the happy meal.
I don’t often go to McDonald’s but when I do it’s pretty basic. I get either a double cheeseburger and fries or 2 single cheeseburgers and fries. Sometimes I’ll get a milkshake. I will stop there if I’m on the road and want a plain cup of coffee rather than buying the overpriced stuff at Starbucks. I’ll only go to Starbucks or Dunkin if I have a gift card. My wife is a teacher and gets gift cards from students so we usually have a few on hand. I can’t remember the last time I paid for Starbucks.
"I go to McDonalds almost every day with my son after school" is an insane statement. Get a grip of yourself, Rojo! Do you want to raise an obese child??
This farm-to-table stuff is good for you.
