If the Miler worked then why fix it. It does look a bit different.
The colors make a difference but they still don't look as impressive in the second link.
Um, one of those is not a photograph. The ones where the shoe is suspended (unless they took those pics on the space shuttle) are actually artist renderings.
I saw somewhere that they did update the plate slightly by moving the last pin on the edge of the foot more to the inside, just slightly. Also I beleive they are both pictures! Not artist drawings.

ever heard of photoshop? could very easily be photographs.
Anything looks good with photoshop. That's why I'd go more by what they look like when the guys just taken a shot of them on the table here

So, presumably this modification will make it better for longer distances? (I've never worn the miler, but I have friends who felt that the plate wasn't suited for longer distances, so they would use Eldos for everything else.)

First off, Michael Johnson didn't wear his gold spikes in the Oylmpic 400 to the retards that joked about exploding shoes. He ran the 200 in them and threw them into the stands apparently. As far as knocking the victory spike goes, under 100g in weight is ridiculously insane. I cannot wait to try these out and feel the difference between these and my current old as shit spikes
