Well you payed [sic] and I paid probably two or three times that for every $65 pair we ever got. Have you noticed these shoes are mostly made in Red China or another weird country where they pay about ten cents a day? Have you noticed they're almost never made in America by American people? We have mortgaged our country and dismantled our productive industries so that you and I can buy cheap shoes right now. But we are really buying them on credit, and the bill is coming due. If Nike wants to make Zoom Milers in America and nowhere else, hey, I'll pay $200 for them.
Sneer at the EU all you want, folks--they at least understand the balance of trade and make people pay the true cost of things.
