A) you have a really unfortunate name.
B) what is the difference between a 5k/10k runner and a marathoner? This is a rhetorical question.
The answer? Not much. How many examples will we need (Shorter, Viren, Salazar, Lopes, Treacy, Steve Jones, Tergat, Geb, Felix Limo, etc.) before we start to understand that the events are very similar and YES the marathon is 4 times longer but not that different in its demands ... and this is proven by history and countless examples of men excelling in both in short time frames.
Skooj,
Do you know anything about how HGH works and why we generally run twice a day?
These questions always seem to be posed by somebody who has not tried running twice a day and seen its benefits firsthand. I did it in 7th grade and then again in 9th and 10th and 11th and ... I got it long before the end of the second time.
Almost stopped reading after A). Should have! Not very nice, are you?
B)? A lot! Huge difference. Gone are the days when a sub 26:40 guy will also run sub 2:05 at the same time. They'll do each when they concentrate on each. This ain't the 70s or 80s no more. Even successful 800m/1500m doubling at the highest levels is a thing of the past.
And what's it got to do with the running I did or didn't do? Must I be a 26:30 or 2:05 guy in order to have insight into this?
