Let’s just see how badly Rose will be behind everyone else this weekend. I wish her absolutely the best jump possible but the odds are stacked against her.

Looking over the Indoor Qualifying Lists, something caught my eye. A female long jumper from Duquesne, Rose Kuchera. When I clicked on her Tffrs profile and look at her results, I noticed something odd. She has only jumped over 20 feet one time, her NCAA qualifying jump of 6.52 meters (21 feet 4.75 inches), at 2026 YSU Mid Major Invitational from the Pentathlon Long Jump. Her 2nd best Jump Ever is 6.08m 19' 11.5", ironically also at a meet hosted by Youngstown State. I looked at other performances in the Pentathlon Long Jump from that meet and noticed a trend. MAJOR Personal Bests, listed below.
2nd Place: Isabella Mastria - Frostburg State 5.95m 19' 6.25" (Second Best Jump Ever 5.78m - 18' 11.75")
3rd Place: Isabella Costa - Duquesne 5.90m 19' 4.25" (Second Best Jump Ever 5.46m 17' 11")
4th Place: Eva Leatherman - Duquesne 5.89m 19' 4" (Second Best Jump Ever 5.35m 17' 6.75")
5th Place: Autumn Wyatt Slippery Rock 5.78m 18' 11.75" (Second Best Jump Ever 5.62m 18' 5.25")
6th Place: Mylee Harmon - Youngstown St. 5.77m 18' 11.25" (Second Best Jump Ever
5.36m 17' 7")
7th Place: Riley Robitaille - Windsor 5.73m 18' 9.75" (Second Best Jump Ever 5.61m 18' 5" ***At the Same meet the previous year*** Not including that meet best jump is 5.39m 17' 8.25")What is going on at Youngstown State meets? I mean the data is undeniable.
Based on these results, they incorrectly calibrated their measuring system and didn't use a tape tape measure.

Took another swing at the data. I made a crucial mistake the first time around: none of the pentathlon LJ results made it into the study cohort. So while the first analysis found there was no systemic anomaly across all LJ events at any of the individual meets, it didn't look specifically at the pent LJ results. So I re-ran the analysis using only the pent LJ athletes.
What I found was that these results ARE in fact anomalous across the board. Every single athlete in the YSU Mid Major pent LJ competed above their baseline (calculated from the full range of their marks from all other meets this season). For 20 of the 23 that passed the data quality filtering, their results were anomalously above their baseline (a z-score of over 1.96, which indicates with 95% confidence that these results did not occur by random chance). Some athletes had a z-score of over 4 and up to over 8, indicating they competed excepetionally above their baseline and are massive statistical outliers.
More plots here:
Again, this is just statistical analysis. There is no real way of knowing what exactly caused these results to be so anomalous, but the statistical findings are significant.
The most likely reason mentioned once earlier is the sand is low. They are jumping down.
Perhaps the person marking the jump in the sand doesn't know the rules and is not measuring the closest spot to the board.
Strong wind? Probably not the steps would be messed up so only a few would succeeed.

No strong wind indoors
somewhere earlier in the thread where the video was posted they said they were measuring from the wrong side of the board
The answer is in... FAKE!
Or she had a terrible day today.
