Calm down. Calm down guys. 2K? How often is that a race? Fair play. Hocker and Kessler are showing fantastic early season form. Kudos to both, I'm excited. But come on, breaking a 2,000m WR is about as about as impressive as breaking a London Marathon novelty costume WR.

Yes it seems crazy and out of place but I predict that Grant will run between 58:30 at best and 60:00 minutes at worst in the half marathon in March. Dude is a metronome and perfectly built for distance running. Although he's obviously been training for the 2K he's still logging enough miles and doing the training necessary to be very efficient at the half marathon which is right around one hour of running.
Usually elite athletes do it the other way around doing a half marathon in January February and then graduating to the track in the spring but Grant is a special talent and can do it - I'm almost certain.

lol right we’ve set WRs in the indoor 800/mile/2k/3k in the last year with 4 different guys, 3 of whom didn’t make the team last year.
5,000m as well. Fisher, who set the indoor 3, 5 and also just broke the 2k WR but Hobbs was a step ahead and set the new WR, made the team but was knackered at Worlds. Hocker broke the WR in the indoor 3k but Fisher was ahead of him and set the new WR - Hocker made the team and won Worlds 5k.
OK, does anyone still believe outdoor 400m tracks are faster than the latest 200m banked indoor tracks. I'm going to say, every WR from 800m and up will eventually be set on an indoor track
maybe now everyone will realize and accept that most elite mid/distance running don't give a crap about cross country and never will. another point: I am shocked, shocked I tell you that no one here accused Kessler and Fisher of " obviously being on the juice".

Fantastic job by HKessler, Three seconds faster than I expected. Looked great the entire way. Followed his usual script of second on the rail but he hung in like a champ and was truly great over the last 400m. 2000m is a nice distance for him. Congrats the new WR holder.
BTW, Fisher is just incredible. His range is absurd. His PRs from 1mile thru 10,000m is hard to believe. 3:48.29, 4:49.48, 7:22.91, 8:03.62, 12:44.09, 26:33.84. Mind blowing range.

Yes, Bove was the star of the show. He ran 3:52.96 for 1600m, leading the whole way (as a rabbit does)!!
His mile PB from 2022 (??) is 3:56.3
His 1500m PB from 2024 (??) is 3:35.3
How did he do that? He actually looked quite comfortable. The winning time at Dr Sander today was 3:54.00. He should get in a race soon.
