Yeah, I think the Republicans are pretty much doomed for the mid terms. Many of their MAGA supporters in places like West Virginia and Alabama are on food stamps and they are going to get destroyed in the Latino vote now that ICE has done what it has over the past year. It is common for the Congress to flip after a new president is elected anyway, but Trump and the Republicans have all but sealed Congress’s fate in next year’s midterms. If they don’t agree to extend the Obamacare subsidies, which again many of their own voters use, I think they will get swamped in the House and quite possibly narrowly lose the senate. If the Dems could get both the senate and house back, then they can use any number of Trump’s defiances of Federal laws to impeach him out of office. They should be able to press charges for his unlawful search and seizure of immigrants without probable cause and the illegal use of the National Guard against non violent protestors. Yes, that idiot Vance would take his place, but Congress may be able to get him for cooperation with Trump. Then we can slowly but surely get back to some level of sanity and peace.
You need two-thirds majority vote in the senate to convict and remove from office. That won’t happen.
Those of us on the Left need to go out in droves to vote in 2026. We need to go for every single Senate seat if possible. We need to push for Democrat led states to gerrymander and redraw their districts to their advantages as much as legally possible. We need to pull out all the stops to beat the Republicans or we will never be able to prevent Trump from hanging on to power and becoming emperor.

Sounds like a lot of work. Why don't you just steal the election like you did in 2020?
No, it wasn’t. The ‘wins’ were basically in places where Trump lost in the Presidential race last year. Literally zero surprises. Even the candidate propped up by your bunch to win the mayor’s race in NYC was no surprise.
There were counties that swung 40 points away from Trump since 2024.
Please, act like it’s no big deal all the way to 2026.
Tariffs and the shutdown cost the GOP dearly on Tuesday. Even Trump agrees it was a big loss
Only the ultimate copers are trying to spin it still
Talk about projection. The pale, hairy bolsheviks are at it again. You schlemiels feel you’re verbal wizards with your dime-store pilpul. It was all blue states. The guy was right and you and the boiler-room schlubs are desperate when it comes to spinning. Btw, you guys sure spent a lot on Mamdani. What’s really going on with him? Always playing all sides, eh?
Axios? Jim VandeHei, the Herb Kohl protege. Oh yeah, he and his crew can be trusted. 🤣🥸

You know Glitter Turd, if the Dems have to steal the election to get rid of Trump, then I say great. Forge a hundred million fake mail in ballet votes. Register the dead in the cemeteries of Washington state, like they did in the movie Black Sheep, and use their names. Bribe the ballot officials to change the votes to Democrats. Hack into the computer systems and change the votes that way. Steal the military absentee ballots and change all their votes to Democrats. Whatever the freaking Democrats have to do to win. If Trump is going to cheat, lie, and steal, then why not the Dems as well? The new Democrat motto should be if “Trump goes low, we’ll go so low, that we will go all the way down to the very steaming smoldering pits of hell and do whatever must be done to ensure he is impeached”.
I don’t believe healthcare is an entitlement (other than for kids and those who are disabled, who are covered under separate programs, not the enhanced subsidies instituted during COVID that is the basis for the current government shutdown). Last I checked, doctors, nurses, etc. don’t generally work for free.
You do believe that it’s an entitlement. You believe it’s an entitlement for the wealthy, and you believe that those with lesser means have no right to receive healthcare. Just admit that you hate poor people and can’t stand the idea of them being helped in any way that will make them less miserable.
I’m aware that healthcare is expensive. When I was freelance, I paid the full amount of it. When the ACA hit, my insurance cost doubled because I had fewer insurers competing in my state. A number of the state level schemes (like provider taxes in 42 states that pay for state level Medicaid and in 6 states, healthcare for illegals) make healthcare more expensive. The problem is most people don’t see the full price [those receiving subsidies, those on Medicaid, those with employer provided insurance (although most still have to pay a significant portion), etc.].
Why is it people that don’t pay anything in federal taxes complain that rich people don’t pay their fair share when they are getting medical care (often worth many thousands of dollars per year) for free or at a significant discount.

So this is you finally admitting that you are jealous. You are jealous of the poor and disabled getting cheaper or free medical coverage when you feel you have to work so hard for it and pay so much more. I’m glad the ACA wiped out some of the insurers in your state. I wish it would have put the rest of them out of business. Insurance companies are the devil. I wish there was a constitutional amendment to ban insurance companies. And I love how you call the state level programs “schemes” when in reality they are designed for desperate individuals who need it. Who cares that you have to pay more for healthcare than the poor? Of course you have to, you aren’t poor. Your jealousy of those less fortunate is borderline pathological.
This guy comes off as an incrdibly bitter, jealous menschevik raised by incredibly bitter, very jealous and hateful menscheviks. His complete lack of understanding of what it’s like to actually work for a living is a major tell.

I come across as somebody who is informed and knows what he is talking about. You come across as somebody who lets Nick Fuentes and Tucker Carlson do all of your thinking for you.
Trump obviously has no respect for the mindset of many of the founding fathers who placed the welfare of the citizens of the new country over their own aspirations. Jefferson in particular wrote at length on the idea that public office was not to be the place for an individual to appropriate personal wealth. Trump on the other hand has no connection to the masses, considering himself more worthy- a prince among paupers.
The only purpose Trump's tariffs serve is to shift the tax burden from the wealthiest 1% to working class consumers. And when you give huge tax cuts to the rich and corporations, you get a market bubble as the amount of money chasing investment opportunities grow. We have seen this movie before. In the Bush administration, all that money went into real estate and caused a bubble that burst with catastrophic consequences. Today, it is all going into AI and crypto. 80% of stock market gains this year have been the result of investments in AI and related industries.
Tariffs as industrial policy have been a huge failure. Production is not shifting back to the US. In fact, the US manufacturing sector has been frozen by the impacts of Trump's tariffs and have been cutting their payrolls to try and account for the increased cost of raw materials and other imported inputs.
