You could argue during her distance running heyday that she was a public figure, although imo that would be pushing it - elite running isn't exactly the NBA. But either way, at this point she seems pretty well retired from public life. Her public social media is almost exclusively about coaching at Oregon. She rarely posts her kids.
Whatever, I knew her long ago. Maybe you all have a point, maybe you don't, but these anonymous, slanderous, non specific accusations seem in poor taste.
And now Emily Infeld's latest instagram post--I know Emily had difficulties with Nike previously but this post (while not naming anyone) really seems to throw serious shade at someone. BTC was the group she was with the longest, and she credited her college coach for being an asset to her since he is coaching her today.
So unless there is some unresolved high school trauma I have to assume she's talking about Jerry.

Why be so dumb?
You don't want Instagram to know that a post was shared on LR?
I hope Nike is not paying Jerry and Shalane to coach any pros. Because they all suck and no one in their right mind wants to move to Eugene to run for them.

When someone blames others for their insecurities as Emily did in this post, it’s called projection. They shift focus away from their own self doubt by accusing others of the very flaws they fear in themselves. In truth, their criticism reveals more about them than the person they’re blaming.
I don't mean this to be offensive this just sounds like a gay hair dresser comment to get her to pay for dying her hair. Not saying that is what happened. I just have never heard of people that obsessed with blonde hair other than women and Nazis and gay people in fashion. I also don't work in any performing arts or modeling (one side of pro running) so I could just be the out of touch person here
I generally like Emily, but sometimes I feel like she’s stuck in high school of college. She has shared this story before and what’s the point? Love yourself? Yeah we know, bring something new to the table. Something recent must have triggered all this. She’s obviously been through a lot personally and professionally, but at what point to do you rise above it and move on? Also, I remember Shalane crying about dopers such as Rita Jeptoo. The irony of having a busted athlete later with Shelburrito

Shelby was found to be in possession of synthetic nandrolone? When? Where? Links, please.
It was in her urine, Rekrunner. So yes "she was caught with synthetic nandrolone". "in possession of" are your words.
None of those were my words. You responded to "TheRealTaro" who responded to "inforapenny".
Whose word is "synthetic", besides anonymous unregistered letsrun posters? As far as I can tell from the CAS report and WADA documents, the endogenous/exogenous origin could not be, and was not, determined.
On a podcast Infeld said Jerry would make her do 20 mile runs with no hydration or gels, now wonder he can't coach the marathon
This is very standard marathon training. It's good to do 1-2 of these depletion runs because it causes your body to adapt to prevent that depletion again in the future.

My first thought even an adult well educated still can’t see how the world works. Sorry not everyone is going to be model level good looking or just isn’t what X company is looking for in ads. Literally all HS female feelings post, “I was told I’m not allowed to sit at the popular hot girl table I need therapy now”.

Wouldn’t it be safer and easier to just practice fueling? Seems like a much better idea to me.
Come on people. Can we admit this thread is crazy?
1) Jerry is not a "man who worked for her." Under no scenario is he the one who told her to dye her hair blonde.
2)Her post is one of those things that reminds me of what's wrong with modern society. We tell people they can have it all - eat a lot and be fast, be fast when they are old, etc. That's not true.
I've got some more un PC advice for her. The advice she needs to get at age 35 that may not be PC is simple. "If you want to have kids, do it now or freeze your eggs."
She's faster than she was 10 years ago but she's much less relevant. In 20 years, I'll bet she wishes she wishes she had kids.
The future is now, old man. We’re in a fueled world now. I bet by 2027 dudes are throwing down 160+ grams/hr of carbs like cyclists do in grand tours rn.

Maybe she loves running and getting paid to do it, and is looking at LA 2028. Maybe she’s been trying to have a kid or has had her eggs frozen, who knows. It is in PC to tell her what she should do with her life.
