Obvious? As someone who’s coached and competed for a quarter of a century now and seen a lot of runners that didn’t look healthy …. Jane Hedengren looks strong and very healthy. I don’t know what you’re smoking over there …

Yes, obvious. "Strong and healthy" is laughable. Let me guess: you're a man? The amount of denial among men (and many women for that matter) around this issue is shocking and disheartening. You just don't want to see it when it's staring you in the face. Maybe because there are worse examples that you're judging against.
I've been around the sport longer than you have, and it's obvious. There are degrees to this of course. Immediate hospitalization like the other notable freshman in the race? No. But unhealthy. I could wrap my thumb and middle finger around her bicep, and I have small hands.129 -

She is on the thin side but you are blatantly lying about her biceps.

If she lined up in a pro field she would easily look like the healthiest on the line. Not sure what this guy is talking about.

I'm really curious to see her race against equal, or slightly better, runners. She's been so dominant for 2-3 years, does she remember how to tuck in and get pulled along in a talented pack when she's not at her best? Does she know how to be tactical? These important skills develop when you're racing your equals or those slightly better than you. It will be interesting to see how the championship season develops.
