The average IQ in the US is about 98. If a person has an IQ of less than 85, it is usually difficult for them to contribute literally anything economically to a modern complex society. An IQ of 70 is the cutoff for being considered mentally disabled in modern civilized societies. For the US, around 10% of the population has an IQ too low for them to be contributing members of society. They literally just do not have the brainpower necessary to do almost anything outside of maybe manual labor, but even then, they often cannot follow instructions or are too much of a safety hazard to keep around.
Also, there is one group in particular that has an average IQ of 85, meaning literally HALF of this population has no way to contribute to US society in any way. Their IQ is simply too low. Worse still, roughly 1 in 6 have an IQ of 70 or below, meaning they meet the criteria for being mentally disabled they are so intellectually impaired. This is roughly 16% of this group.
All of the above is really harsh and a hard reality, so hard that many people just will not accept it under any circumstance, but it is what the science shows. AND, when you DO understand this, the world suddenly makes almost perfect sense.

This is the conservative way of trying to feel better about themselves as if they are superior. All people suck in general. I will admit when blacks do a crime it's bad but when whites do a crime its called mental health issues. Yes, they do. As a percentage of their income, the super wealthy usually pay a significantly less amount than their counterparts in the working in middle class. A major reason for this is that much of their wealth doesn't come from a salary, but through things like capital gains, which are taxed at a far lower rate than regular income. Also, they can hire expensive tax lawyers and accountants to hide money in LLCs, offshore accounts, etc. It's disgusting, and it robs the American people of critical money that helps to fun our social safety net, our infrastructure, our military, etc.
It requires a $138,570 salary for a single person to afford a "comfortable" lifestyle in New York City, meaning 50% of salary on housing, food, and transportation, 30% on entertainment/hobbies, and 20% on debt, savings, and investment. Even if you slash that in half to $69k, you are going to be spending at least $24k on rent alone, and take home pay would only be about $55k, so you'd only have about $31k left for food, transportation, utilities, and anything else. It's expensive and the majority of jobs don't pay enough to get out of public housing in New York.
