Velzian was watching a pair of Kenyan pacemakers at a track meet in England in the late 50's. He gazed longingly at their thin, ebony calves. Suddenly, the images of needles and dollar signs flashed in front of his eyes...
..and the rest is history.
Velzian was a philanthropist, minimalist, not concerned with wealth or $ earnings. He lived in Kenya for decades with a frugal lifestyle. Ugali and kale were his go to diet requirements. He lived and died, age 93+, like a modest Kenyan. His mission - help Kenyan children develop their athletic abilities. For that reason, he was very popular with Kenya Athletics.

I hear Kenyan Prisons are not exactly luxury. So I hope enjoys over crowding and stress.
He will appeal the sentence in the Higher Court, and could, in theory, be released within the next few weeks. Dude is not a career criminal from what we know. We know this, because the Indian passport is electronically linked to Indian law enforcement intelligence. Anyone with a record cannot get a passport.
Kenyans have always been extremely racist towards Indians and used them as scapegoats. A large proportion of the Indian community in Britain originates from the thousands of them kicked out of Kenya.
More recently, the Indian community still there has petitioned to be recognized as the 44th tribe of Kenya, but the Kenyan racists refuse. (can't post more than one link in a post or I will get banned for life by this stupid site).
Another reminder that anti-racism and human rights are an entirely Western concept/invention.
