What a buffoon. Even if Laros would have won, this would have been the lamest clickbait thread title ever. As it is, Rojo looks like an idiot again. He'll definitely immediately abandon this take and pretend to be a journalist or whatever.
As we get ready for the 1500 final (I’m writing 1 hour before 1500 final), I was talking to a journalist friend. In his mind, Laros will very soon be viewed as unbeatable in the 1500. And he thinks the best value in sports betting is getting on the 1500 as they make their debut in the first serious attempt in the 5000. If that’s true, then shouldn’t we also give him the 1500 WR? His 800 speed is way better than El G or Lagat or Jakob.
I guess even with a win tonight, the beauty/sad thing is we won’t know how Laros stacks up against Hocker in a championship 1500 until 2027.
Anyone on here watch Laros when he ran his 13:10 5000 pb in May in Nice? Was he sick? Not going all out or is that all he had (13:01 was winning time)?
Is this 'journalist friend' the same idiot you see when you look directly into a highly reflective piece of glass?

Rojo, I don't know why you keep doing this to yourself? The best guy won. Laros was NOT the best guy. Not even close. 1. 3:34.10 Nader 1:43.86, 3:29.47 5. 3:34.52 Laros 1:44.19, 3:29.20

What a disrespect to the biggest star of current distance running. letsran should change its name to letstrash. I am resigning this site
Well in the end rojo was right, he is like Jakob: he consistently loses 1500 m finals in major championships.
Except for his 1500 Olympic Gold right? Right? Like you forgot that or....
Or maybe you forgot that after that he choked 4 finals in a row. Oh well, nevermind, only 3: this year he couldn't even get to semifinal...sorry, I forgot that

Choking finals = winning more medals in finals than anyone else. Got it.
I know everyone's piling on you, but nice attempt on a VIPAM. It was a good try.
In single big boy non-paced or wavelit track championship type races, Laros has gotten 10th, 23rd, 6th, 11th, and now 5th. Maybe he'll revenge-set the WR to avenge in your honor. Realistically, he's still very young and quite talented, so he'll most likely get his.

Rojo could still be right. Laros is still young and if he remains injury free, I bet he becomes unbeatable. Biggest obstacle though is reynauld cheruiyot

🙄 Yeah, no way anyone else breaks through or even has a good race in the coming years. Nope, Laros definitely won't lose again for a decade

Laros still has upside, and certainly a ton of motivation after Tokyo. He's a big talent, we'll see.
