Trying to think of other American women who have won a diamond league 1500/mile? Has it happened?
Shelby...of course winning a DL 1500 without Kipyegon, Welteji, Tsegay GHB is a little different. Does feel like some legit injury concern for Welteji, which means the door is wide open for Hiltz to medal especially if GHB goes 800m only.

Definitely - Johnson was moving up on the outside of lane one, Hailu shifted out without looking and got clipped. Perhaps both of their faults but mostly Hailu.
Is that being gutless or is that running within your limits? She is a great runner but there are better. A smart runner knows what they are capable of.
Updike with a PB of 8:10.59. He still has a path to Tokyo, even though he finished 5th at USAs. Keter didn't get the standard today and Wilkinson broke his foot at the trials.
Updike tries his best Kenneth Rooks impression, gets passed back by Querinjean (Luxembourg?!) and Wale but still PRs in 3rd, 8:10.59. Nice race from him.
Keter looked good with 2 to go but got swallowed up, fails to hit the standard but PRs in 8:16.11. Is that enough to get in via world ranking?
Coleman ran 19.89 last year, and he's finished 6th, 4th, and 6th in the 200m at the U.S. championships the last three years. Not too shabby.
He got off the bend and he was done.
Hold on...let me just check his international 200m medal haul you might be right... ... ... oh.
Might have a couple of national medals from his drugged up to the gills era.
Obviously, he's not as strong in the 200m as he is in the 100m, but anyone who finishes top 6 in the U.S. three years in a row in a sprint event is good.
