Well I hope Hurta runs with her arms and hands away from the competitors as a pacesetter. Her horrendous form and arm swings may do more harm than good in keeping the women on their feet and getting any kind of records. Interesting how she used that technique to swing Akins out of her way. Definitely intentional
Hurta-Klecker’s form seems to be just fine for Faith Kipyegon, whose opinion would be much more relevant on the matter.
No one cares what a doper has to say. If that’s even true
Chebet getting the 1500m WR, and then holding WR at 1500m, 5000m and 10000m simultaneously, would be the ultimate outcome from this DL. I really think she’s fit enough to do so.
I like that Friday night set up they have, boxing the women's pole vault, high jump and shot put together. That's probably a city event at a shared venue.
Duplantis' sister is in the pole vault. She's got a personal best of 4.39. Both of the Moll twins from Washington are competing. They finally get to travel to Europe after seeing their Husky running teammates do it all summer. Amanda Moll has to be the greatest Liker on Instagram. Every post even semi-related to Washington track and field, she Likes it
BTW, the women's 100 hurdles is so deep and with all of them wanting to compete that it's frequently split into two heats before the main television window. Then the survivors advance to the final. The commentators don't always mention it.
As others have emphasized the women's 400 hurdles is essentially a world championships final preview. Good test for Bol. Cockrell and Jasmine Jones like to round into form and not show their cards early. Bol is still susceptible to underestimating them in the Tokyo final. But Dalilah Muhammad and Savannah Sutherland run hard every time. Bol has not attempted to go out fast all season. She may decide she doesn't need to do that this season, with Sydney elsewhere.
Bol said yesterday that it's disappointing Sydney has chosen 400 flat this year. It's still hilarious that Shannon Sharpe was remarkably ignorant enough to believe that Femke Bol would claim Sydney is ducking her. Classic case of applying American male peer pressure frailty and pretending the same attaches everywhere.
Kinda hard to duck someone that's not much competition. Bol will never beat Sydney and the ones with common sense knows this. Now the clowns on here will surely say Sydney is ducking Bol because they hate Sydney for being so good. The only reason Bol has any gold medals is because of the absence of Sydney.
My guess is that Hurta-Klecker is pacing the 3000m. Kipyegon is in the race and I believe HK has paced two of her world records. Kipyegon probably requested her for a WR attempt. I can't see HK running a 3000m; she's only run one race longer than a mile since 2022.

Glad to see that instead of all those Sydney haters (~2 on LRC), you are not a hateful person at all.

Well according to the one poster with multiple names all haters are comprised of some old lady. So there you go. Makes sense only in his/her fantasy world. Never mind that maybe hundreds of people might have the same opinion. Nope

Yes obviously. But I think Sydney has many haters similar to Tuohy and Valby unfortunately. And there’s many of them. Teenage boys sitting in the basement typing away in between playing video games.
Really happy to see Kessler in the 1500m field. He and Hoey are both on for the Daniel Komen revenge tour. Myers and Laros are due for big PBs. Rooting for Tim Cheruiyot as always.
That's the only way Kessler can qualify for Tokyo. He definitely would not be here if he was top three at USAs.
How would DL work for Kessler? He currently has 0 points after his 10th place finish at Pre...his only DL race to date. Would he have to finish top 3 at Silesia and Brussels to get an invite to the DL final? Or would that not even be enough for him to get an invite? How many runners go to the final? And then you need to win the final outright (first place) to get into Worlds, correct? Not clear on how this all works.

Scoring works as follows: 8 points for 1st, 7 points for 2nd, etc. The 10 highest scorers over the course of the regular DL circuit qualify for the Final. Nuguse is currently ranked 10th with 7 points. Each event also gets a wild card entry, which I believe is awarded at the discretion of the meet director, but I could be wrong on that.
Kessler probably needs to get at least 3rd in both races (for a total of 12 points) to have a shot at making the Final.

Cool, thanks for the reply/explanation. Appreciate.

Bol has relay golds that have nothing to do with Sydney. In smaller countries every medal is equally valued, and that's especially true of team environments like Papendal where everybody on that relay trains together all year working on that relay. They watch videos all year on relay exchanges and even how to enter and exit the relay zone for maximum benefit.
That's why the Dutch relay teams win national awards almost every year at the year ending gala. This is not an athletics gala. It's for all sports. A huge social event that is televised and everyone dresses to the max. Those relays are celebrated as, "Team of the Year," for the entire country, and this is in a country obsessed with soccer and plenty of other successful teams to choose from.
In short, anyone who tries to discount Femke Bol is an outright fool. She's too classy to laugh at them but I do, on an ongoing basis.
Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone has easily the worst fans in track and field. They are paranoid about Femke Bol for no reason. If you look at any Bol video on YouTube the comments below are loaded with Sydney fans launching needless attacks.
