- He went 9.75 once, with big wind.
- He already had a full outdoor season.
- He, along with everyone else, went slower in the NCAA final race than the heats. At this level, it has to be the other way around.
- The competition at this level is much tougher (especially mentally tougher) and way more experienced than those he faced at NCAAs.
Helping factors: he is young so he may be able to peak again for this meet and maybe sprint fast enough in the final if he gets through the rounds. He also has a good coach.
If he does make the team he will be considered a legit superstar in the making. If he doesn't that's OK he's had a great year.

You don't get to wear spandex the same length as split shorts. You can either wear split shorts exposing your naked thighs, or half tights exposing your junk. You can't combine the two, that is too much.
