Does anyone know if Bernard plans on entering the 5000m that already have Kenny B. and Alan Webb in the field? I read in a article he plans on running a Golden League 5000m this year but it didn't state which meet.

Is Bernard Lagat undefeated at the 3000m and 5000m distances? I know he has won:
WORLD Indoor 3000m Championships
NCAA Indoor 3000m
NCAA Outdoor 5000m
and I didn't run across a 3000m/5000m race he has not won. Does anyone know of a race he lost at either the above distances and have the site with the results?
Lagat will conveniently disappear in the next Olympic year... This dude can not afford to get caught.
I think you guys are forgetting about Brandon Moen.

He's running 5000 in London against Bekele & Webb, not to mention Kipchoge, Choge & Mottram. I think Goucher will be there also?

Why is this even a thread? The answer is obviously YES. It would've been YES 7 years ago before he even became a US citizen or took silver in the Olympics or ran 3:27 for 1500m (he's better than all other US runners by a lot), it would've been YES 6 years ago, it would've been YES 5 years ago, it would've been YES 4 years ago, it would've been YES 3 years ago, it would've been YES two years ago, it was YES last year, and - incredibly - it is YES once again this year.
Are you guys f*cking retarded? Do you just make threads up because you have nothing better to do? Christ, this is embarrassing....

Vipam is certainly one of the most popular and interesting posters on Letsrun. I've enjoyed several of his posts and disagreed with only a few of them. I hope Vipam is just taking a break and haven't left this site as I can't find very many recent posts by him.
Last year 12:55.55 won the London Gp but the field is alot stronger this year. Do you think the race will be fast enough that Bernard Lagat can break the American Record 12:58.21?

I beg to differ. He rarely says anything that isn't a safe bet.
Vipam: I think water is good for you!
Classic letsrun idiot: oh my god, you're so right!
Bernard Lagat should break 12:45 in the 5000m if and when he concentrates on the 5000m and run a FEW in big GP meets in 2006 or 2007! If that a safe bet, go ahead and say he won't then.
Only 3 men have done its so far:
Kenenisa Bekele........12:37.35
Haile Gebrsellasie.....12:39.36
Daniel Komen...........12:39.74
KK forever
hey coward I think courage is something you lack!
KK forever
Your obviously a cowardly regular post as there aren't any more post from KK forever. Your biggest accomplishment in life is probably taking a 5 yr old girl lunch money but later getting demoralized by her 6 yr old brother.
back to subject at hand
Hopefully the London race will be extremely fast to give Lagat and the other Americans a chance to drastically improve their personal best.
Wow that was a weak comeback. But I am still right. It's funny that you didn't try to contradict it. I guess you agree with me.
Saying a guy who has run 7:30 and 3:26 for 3000 and 1500 is not unreasonable. Tell me where it breaks with logic? Please, illuminate me. But I will tell you this, it won't happen at London for the same reason it hasn't happened at the other races - the rabbits drop out, the pace sags and Bekele kicks it in for the easy win now that he has worked on his speed. Lagat won't outkick him, especially if the pace is around 12:50.
So I don't see where my courage comes into it - since this isn't about me, but rather you continuously making obvious posts. Like I said before, saying "Lagat should break 12:45 at some point in his career" is pretty weak and safe given his background. It doesn't take a whole lot of courage to say that. And btw, it never takes courage to say anything anonymously Vipam, and that includes you. If that is how you make yourself feel like a man, well that's just sad.
America is enjoying a great resurgence by the middle and long distance runners and other evernts as well. 2006 is shaping up to be one of the best years every for USA athletics.

would he be seen as an American winning a medal? Shouldnt we be asking if any of your US born athletes has a chance at a medal?
Stop with the stupid American born winning a medal. Bernard Lagat is an American plan and simple, just as any other foreigner who apply and meet the standards for citizenship! LET IT GO!
The question is will Bernard Lagat also add the 5000m AR to his collection Friday and how the other Americans will fare?
Adam Goucher under 13:10 I hope?

American born, American born, American born (he is not and never will be). Here is a good question: How many Americans (and we will even count Lagat) in this great field in London will break 13:10???? I predict 3 (Goucher,Lincoln, and Lagat). Anyone else have a guess???
