As was pointed out earlier, the “she never races anymore” argument no longer holds true. She has raced more than Bol this season and she raced 15 times last season.
Are you dense? There’s no need to answer, that was a rhetorical question.
I doubt they're testing at GST.
Syd basically avoids Europe and only runs exhibition races + nats/Worlds. Curious.

More than Bol only until next week, and Bol raced like 40 times last year

Well that's great but what was being addressed was the patently false comment that Syd never races.
The other question is will Sydney run the hurdles in Tokyo, or will she attempt the flat (or even double)? She now has two Olympic titles, a World title, the WR...is she really that motivated to run sub 50, or is another challenge on the horizon? It will all come down to how much Kersee thinks a gold medal is secured. We know he likes to make history.
I would like to see Sydney go to that Appledorn or whatever the high altitude in the mountain is called later this year, and run the 400H in 49.4. Then move to the 200/400M permanently.
lol Sydney doesn’t need altitude help (aka the cheat code) to break sub50 though. If she decide to go after it, she will make it at big events like Olympics and Worlds or US trials as she always does. from her recent interviews, I think she’s still eager to break the 50s. That achievement alone will make her the ultimate GOAT in history. Neither Bob nor herself would skip it. After that, she may retire from hurdles forever.
lol at Syd haters, the only one might be COOKED by Sutherland is Bol. They are literally on the same speed level and both 1.5-2seconds slower than Sydney ( I dont count altitude help cheat of course) same as Anna and Jones.
actually among those chasers, Sutherland has one huge advantage others don’t have. She’s four years younger than Sydney which means she will truly have her time when Syd retired. The others are slightly older than Sydney or literally at the same age as her, their only chance to win the 400mH is Sydney’s absence (like Bols world champion in 2023) or praying her to transfer to 400m ASAP lol.
That is like someone trying to assess a sprinters caliber with races at 900m and wind of 2.0. Using Basic (wind and altitude corrections), a nominal 10.00 is worth 10.13 or so.
Femke's 50.x is worth 51.15, and trying to run a 50.x race resulted in a disappointing time. I was hoping to see a mark at the high-50s. I think the closest she has come is in 2022 or 21.
I think that she is playing this year differently. She has a secondary at the European champs, now she will go back get her real speed for World's and workout what he stride pattern should be. Since her speed/speed endurance will improve she can probably do fewer steps.
Bol also is responsible for the 4×400 relays and proud of what she has done not only as a runner but as a mentor-- she is ahead of Syd on that score.

How are they on the same speed level? You know that besides her 50.9 Femke has run 51.3, 51.4 and 51.9? And you compare her with Sutherland, Anna and Jones?

Think they meant same 400m raw speed level, tho they are about 0.5s apart

What are you talking about? Femke runs 49.1 indoor WR, these other athletes can't even break 51. How are they 0.5s apart? Not even Sydney matches Femke's 400m speed

You're assuming that no hurdlers younger than Sutherland will emerge. I think that by the time Sydney retires, a younger hurdler, possibly Natalie Dumas, will be better than Sutherland.
Obviously Femke runs 49.1 indoor which is way better
Sydney doesn't run indoors and there are no 400 hurdle races indoors anyways, so your post is totally irrelevant.
What do you mean she doesn't run indoors? She only runs 48.7 outdoors, so there's no way she could run faster than 49.1 indoors. Indoor track is way slower
