Go follow Baseball or better yet go participate in Power Slapping ✋💥🤕 everyday until you become the champion. If people like you are that skeptical of track and field athletes being clean, then why in the world are you following the sport 🤔? Do yourself and us a favor and go follow another sport 😳!
Doping is evident in young females who are beating their peers.amd have nontypical physiques. Tuohy fits the bill. Jane had the typical elite physique and came into het own after a few years of training.

Jane Hedengren will be turning pro. Train with Diljeet group at BYU.
This Astro dude has a serious problem. He's the most blinded, biased person on this board. He thinks everyone is doping...except for the bizarre Touhy exception.
Hedengren ran a 4:35 mile as a Sophomore. She struggled with injuries throughout her Jr year. Why is it so hard to believe a 12 second improvement for a young teenager over 2 years?
Her dad was an NCAA all-American. She won the genetic lottery there. She's been coached at a high level at altitude for years. She has elite coaching, and has from a young age.
Her results are outstanding, but there's no reason to point to drugs for her success.

Exactly and Astro is quite a bore. He definitely doesn't warrant me continuing to dispute his personal negativity about our sport.
I thought it a was very classy for the women's mile pro winner C. Atragon to acknowledge Jane's historic gutsy run.

Why? To get crushed on the international stage? Better to do NCAA for a little bit. I am sure she will make plenty of money without going pro yet. It seems like she has a whole operation set up to monetize her success.
Wasn't this supposed to be a huge showdown between Sadie Engelhardt and Jane Hedengren? I saw a lot of headlines hyping this up. What happened?
Engelhardt read the writing on the wall. Engelhardt had a very pedestrian time in the 1500M recently and didn’t want to get crushed in a head to head competition with Hedengren so she bailed rather than compete. It’s Engelhardt’s Sr year in high school and she has run a total of 1 race this outdoor season. She is getting very bad advise or she just doesn’t want to do the work anymore.
Now she has to decide rather to run the 1500 or 5000m at U.S World Trials. I wouldn't be shocked if she picks the 5000m and run a 14:51 narrowly missing sub 14:50. If she goes sub 14:50 it would GREATEST AJR performance in any track and field event EVER.
No it wouldn't. That would be Knighton with his 19.49, which made him a top 5 performer ever.
I've never heard of Knighton but a 19:49 5k is a very slow time for a guy and not close to being competitive.
What are kids DOING these days??? The times HS kids are running now defy my wildest dreams from when I was in HS.
They're training better and running faster times.
Can you explain how though? And yes, I'm aware of shoes.
I loved watching girls progression. When I was in HS the fastest times in the country were 4:50. Eventually they got to 4:40s and then 4:30s became a regular occurrence. Now some girls are running in the high 4:20s. And now Jane is running in the low 4:20s. Can we then expect a teenager to run in the 4:teens soon?
I think that's great. I do. I think what Jane is doing is great. I think it's unfair to accuse someone, especially a high schooler, or doping without some cause. There is no reason to suspect Jane that I'm aware of.
I just hate how cynical we've had to become because the sport from top to bottom is a mess at every level and we know it. There are hardly any professionals I don't think are doping. I do think it's permeated college. Any time there's an outlier, it smells bad to me, and hardly anyone makes any attempt at being transparent or standing against doping in the sport.
So where does that leave us. Throwing baseless accusations at teenagers? No. Throwing on a fake smile and acting like everything is perfectly fine? Don't have the energy for that either.
I agree with you. It’s a tough reality that in the U.S., translating standout high school performances into long-term professional success has often seemed more difficult on the women’s side than the men’s. Jane looks incredibly strong already—physically and competitively—reminiscent of Alan Webb in his high school days. It brings to mind Alexa Efraimson, who was similarly dominant a decade ago. While her transition to the pro level didn’t quite match the promise of her high school years, every athlete’s path is different. Jane’s talent is undeniable, and I’m really hoping she’s one of the few who can buck the trend and keep climbing.
Obviously not everyone on here knows it. Even i dont know it,because i dont know enough about her.I dont know who she trains with, and i also dont know by how much she's improved. I'd never heard of her till this year.
I disagree with Gault who on the reaction show responded, "Yes he would be shocked if Jane ran sub 4 minutes in the 1500m this year.". While I'm saying it's not a guarantee, it just wouldn't shock me if did. With that being said I think she should run the 5000m at US Trials. The American women 1500m is far deeper with sub 4 minute runners than it is with sub 14:50 in the 5000m. In my opinion Jane has chance at running sub 14:50 than sub 4 minute and slight chance at grabbing 3, 4, or 5th in the 5000m. She could run 3:59.8 and still be 4, 5, or 6th in the 1500m.
