Kerr easily pulled away from two other runners who both had more speed than Ingebrigtsen at Paris. He likely would have done the same in this race had Ingebrigtsen been there.
weird that guys had more speed than somebody who was solo in the front for 1400 meters, at 3:28 pace.
an unprecedented feat in the history of track and field.
The have more speed. That is the point. He has more endurance.

No, they don't have more speed than the fastest man in history indoors over both 1500 and mile and the fourth fastest man in history in the 1500 outdoors, since nobody has run a faster PR than him. Speed is measured from gun to tape, if you want to figure out who's faster in a shorter race then you run a shorter distance.

i haven't seen real proof that anybody besides hocker is faster than any of the rest of them.
the 800 PBs are proof. Jakob is by far the slowest, more than 1 sec slower than the other three. And those three ran it with a 1500m on their legs prior. His 400m is also pretty slow with 51.03, while Kerr could close a 3:40 race with a sub-51 last lap.
However, the "realest" proof of all is, he got outkicked in his main event for 3 straight years, that showed inadequate speed compared to his competitors.
7/10 it was great timing/topic but you came on too strong at the end and it became clear it was a troll job
If the OP was me, I would have said the same thing a thousand over times. Kerr beats Jakob 7/10 times and beats him in all non paced races. Jakob has a less potent sprint biomechanics, shorter stride length and arms that are straitjacketed and not free flow pumping like Kerr’s. Want to know why Kerr is a 1500m authority? Look only at his arms will do. That rhythmicity is cue for mechanical resonance in his body head to toe. Standing magnetic waves of the earth are pulsing right through his body and propping him up, other words his energy is over-unity as if you are operating at to condition for mechanical and electromagnetic resonances, you take in free energy gifted by the earth from underneath you into your body in the form of standing magnetic waves which your competitors who aren’t doing so don’t have such advantage. Go study some physics.

You are - as usual - as dishonest as Armstrong. Jakob set his 800m PB when he was 19 (and since then he hasn´t run a serious 800m race) and his 400m PB when 16. Do you think he might have improved a bit in the following years?
I agree with others that Jakob would have beaten Kerr easily in the 1500m friday, especially if he had set on Kerr´s shoulder until the finish. Kerr has - except from the Bowerman mile 2024 where Jakob was coming back from injury - only beat Jakob a few times and only because Jakob gave him pace all the way to the finish.
I wouldn´t be surprised either if Jakob had been the fastest of the milers in the 800m yesterday if he had participated in that race.
Josh Kerr reminds me of a Canadian cyclist from way back who had immense talent but was incosistent. He was excellent when he was fit and thin but he always had to ride himself into shape. Kerr is excellent but I think has a tendency to be 5 lbs overweight that he constantly has to fight to keep off. When he is fit though he is very difficult to beat.
"When he is fit he is very difficult to beat."
You make it sound as Kerr is a world beater when he is in shape BUT..........
the truth is that Kerr has won rather few races on the world stage in his career:
2019: He won 4 local meets in the US and a heat in the UK trials in the 1500m.
2020: Won 3 local meets (BigBoston Friendly). Secundary places in the UK indoor trials.
2021: Won 2 local meets (Sound Running and Stumptown Twilight) and won heat and final at the British 1500m trials. Third in the OG 1500m final.
2022: Won Boston indoor mile (3:48.87) and 1 local 1500m (Lilac GP). Won heat in UK trials and heat and semifinal in the Eugene WC 1500m.
2023: Won the Millrose 3000m in 7:33.47 and local 800m (Portland). And the 1500m in the Budapest WC and the 5th Avenue mile in 3:47.9.
2024: Won Millrose 2 miles in indoor Wb 8:00.67 and the indoor WC 3000m in Glasgow. And the Bowerman mile and the 5th avenue mile.
2025: Won the GS 1500m.
If we are generous he won his first race on the world stage in 2021 (the UK 1500m final over Wightman and Heyward who both qualified for the OG final in Tokyo) and the next in 2022 (the Millrose 3000m). In 2023 he won 3 international races, in 2024 he won 4 races and in 2025 1 race.
So in total he has won 10 races on the world stage from 2019 which is about 1.5 per year.
Since the OP compared him to Jakob it is relevant to point out that Jakob so far this year has won 5 international races (not counting heats).
So unless your conclusion is that Kerr almost always is overweight and out of shape your statement failed to pass a fact check.

Kerr has just run 1:45 for the 800. Ingebrigtsen's best is 1:46-mid. I can't see him running a one-off 1:45 as Kerr just did - who also beat Hocker. Kerr has several times now shown he has a faster finish than Jakob (as Hocker, Nuguse and Wightman also have).

If you measure speed from gun to tape Jakob hasn't had it in years at the top level 1500. But nor does he have the finish of other top runners - so he loses.

lol please. opportunity is the only thing that separates their 800 times, which are all mediocre. For example, yared's PR prior to yesterday was 1:46.30.
they can all go sub 51 in a 3:40 race. And check how old Jakob was when he ran a 51.03. What a ridiculous argument. Over the past 3 years, they have outkicked him, and he has outkicked all of them.
Again this is the Jakob against the field argument. They all win 1/5 they are amazing. Jakob wins 1/5, and the story is that he's lost 4/5

Kerr and Hocker rarely race the event, like Jakob. But they are still way faster over the distance. He wouldn't break 1:45 if he trained all year for it. But that aside, they have more finishing speed than he does over his main distance.
