Don't really follow track running but it looked really easy for him?, almost like he was just doing a training run.
Just shows that he was more injured than we thought, effortlessly beat the Americans and would probably beat Ingebrigsten 7/10 times.
Not sure he effortlessly beat them, but it was a reminder that he is a savvy racer who beats Nuguse when Yared does the work and takes down Hocker if Hocker is training through. Wanyonyi got threads because he’s an 800 guy, was celebrating with 50 to go, and cruising through the finish.
Don't know man, he looked like he was all out over that last 100. It was a good return to form for him, and a reminder to the world that Kerr is one of the elite kickers in the 1500. thr next GST will be interesting as I can't believe Nuguse is going to persist with his tactic of trying to lead gun to tape. He's probably assuring himself a top-3 finish every time, but someone will always kick past him for the win when he's up against the very best in the world.
Kerr easily pulled away from two other runners who both had more speed than Ingebrigtsen at Paris. He likely would have done the same in this race had Ingebrigtsen been there.

I suspect that at this point in the season, Ingebrigtsen could make it enough of a pure fitness test to beat Kerr and the Americans, even without pacers. Might be a different story come mid-September.

weird that guys had more speed than somebody who was solo in the front for 1400 meters, at 3:28 pace.
an unprecedented feat in the history of track and field.
Josh Kerr reminds me of a Canadian cyclist from way back who had immense talent but was incosistent. He was excellent when he was fit and thin but he always had to ride himself into shape. Kerr is excellent but I think has a tendency to be 5 lbs overweight that he constantly has to fight to keep off. When he is fit though he is very difficult to beat.

Kerr evidently made it clear to Carrie T. that he was coming back from some type of injury previously.
There were 10+ threads, most were pretty low content like this one. Sitting behind Nuguse all race then barely out leaning him isn’t that impressive. The inside lane didn’t open up for Hocker until too late. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Kerr finish in the back next time they race.
Personally I love that they are regularly racing. We have 3 of the top 4 in the world going at it. You might not realize it, but we are living through the good old days right now.
