Bolt is 6’05”. He took 41 strides in 100m world records, while other super elite sprinters take 43-44.
If Gout, as reported, is the same height as Lyles, 5’10”.

There is no way he comes close to matching Bolt’s stride length.
Then, there are the other variables besides stride length, i.e. stride frequency, start, confidence, etc.
Gout does not even have a single legal sub 10 or sub 20 100m or 200m time.
He’s a rail thin and 5’10. He isn’t ready to race the best internationals at senior level. He needs to run world juniors, etc.
Top elites take up to 50 steps per 100m. Bolt is an extreme outlier on the low end.
But even Bolt has cadence well above 4 steps per second, which is the real secret to sprinting.
It has nothing to do with striding forward, as if you could take bigger steps. That's all but impossible once you're going faster than about 7 meters per second. Inertia keeps you going forward, but your legs have to match its speed as they whirl through the air. As they go faster, the gait cycle speeds up.
Juantorena is another one that drove people delusional about "stride length." It was about 2.3m in reality, but looked like more because of his form.
