Oh my god let’s go Taylor Roe! I guess you have to be a massive talent to win NCAAs as a sophomore, but I’d honestly kinda written her off of being one of the best in the US by her senior year. Super happy she’s proven me wrong, and doing it with some massive runs nonetheless. Looks like she’s gonna be one of our best long distance gals for the foreseeable future. 10k PR pace for 10 miles is absolutely nuts, and she’s got good enough wheels to win NCAA 3k. Can’t wait to see how she does this summer.
Her 10k split here was as fast as her 10000m time from the TEN last week. She either way underperformed at the Ten or is just way better at road running.

Puma might have some great road shoes. 👀
From pictures today, she appears to be wearing the Puma Elite Deviate Nitro 3 in the purple.
Step into the future of running. Featuring a NITROFOAM™ Elite midsole for explosive energy, ULTRAWEAVE upper for a secure fit, and PUMAGRIP outsole for unbeatable traction, these rule-breakers are engineered for women. Are yo...
This is technically a World’s Best by 39 seconds, although women have split much faster in half marathons. The American Record prior to today was 51:23 by Keira D’Amato.
I'm confused - how is it a World Best if other women have run faster en route?
I was under the impression 'en route' times are able to be certified provided they are only counted from the gun?
I've wondered why she went to OSU rather than BYU. It seemed like the obvious choice.
Don't know why all the down votes, unless it is the typical anti-Mormon bigotry. It seems like nearly every top HS runner who is Mormon goes to BYU. It is much closer to her home in Washington and probably the best women's program in the nation.
I agree. This website is "let'srun's" to design, but there was a time when they more prominently featured road races and a performance l this is certainly noteworthy.
Personally, I'd like to see less high school and more pro.
Great run for her. I do hope she is able to stay healthy. She’s doesn’t quite pass the eyeball test for health/longevity currently but I hope to be proved wrong

People are afraid to go there but you are spot on
She was NCAA champ with disordered eating. As she got tried to get healthy we witnessed a fall off in performance. Now she is back to her old ways. We see it all the time. Fiona and Molly Seidel did the exact same thing.
I predict a crash in Taylor Roe over the next year.
